climate control R34 Climate Control Unit
Murfyy posted a topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Had an issue for a while where my climate control unit would not not show any lights, the buttons wouldn’t work, obviously the aircon and heating didn’t work. The only thing that showed on the unit was the clock which constantly counts up and repeats constantly when powered on. I have taken it to an auto elec who had a look and he bought in a car aircon mechanic/specialist to check it out. Neither of them found any issues with fuses or the system itself. Also took the unit to another auto elec/electrician who took it apart and tested it all and it worked fine. The lights lit up and all. so far I’ve double checked all the fuses, which are all good. The unit itself has been tested and works (however not when plugged into my car). No idea how to go about this/fix it. Any advice/tips/people to contact would be great thanks! -
Hi All, Has anyone incorporated the climate controls into a headunit for a R33 Skyline? I want to look at a double din system but dont have the space so I need to get rid of the AC control's. The third slot will be used for gauges. Thanks!

Anyone know what’s meant to happen with this pipe. I know that the connector for the rear passenger foot wells is missing but I don’t know what’s up with this pipe and where it goes. My climate control has been blowing hot air since I got the car, so is it where the climate control thermometer goes?

Hi all, So basically my Series 1 C34 stag was stolen and I was lucky enough to get it back! When I got it back I noticed my Xanavi system won't turn on at all BUT my climate control is working and seems to be permanently stuck on auto (my xanavi system houses my climate control so there's no way to turn it off without getting the xanavi to turn on). Before I go spend some cash on an auto elec to diagnose/ fix, just wondering if anyone's had this issue before or would have an idea of what my problem could be so I could have a more educated look myself? Would the thief unplug something when stealing the car? unlucky timing with fuses? Extra info; Cigarette/ 12v power still works my gearshift lights (P R N D 2 1) turn on from time to time but very occasional - worked perfectly before the light for my "power/ snow" switch still works when in power mode when I got it back my centre console was popped open (assuming it was done when stealing) Any help would be appreciated, Cheers, Nick.

Hi guys, I just purchased a modified R32 GTR and have a few little things to fix on it. Aircon isn't working and ambient temp reads -30 degrees on the digital display so the outside temp/ambient temp sensor is not working or disconnected. When running through diagnostics I also get a fault code for that sensor (21 from memory) From my research this sensor was originally located on the stock thermo fan under the bonnet latch. This car has aftermarket rad, thermo fan and big front mount. For the life of me I cant find the temp sensor. Maybe its been relocated or removed. How do I trick the climate control system into thinking its +30 degrees out side. Can I splice a resistor into the harness behind the dash? If so how? Which wires? Thanks heaps, Luke

Hi all, This is my first post on this forum and I'm after a little help. Like many of us, I'm respraying my interior panels, however I'm stumped as to how to pry off the climate control panel without snapping anything. I've looked at this post but can't find out exactly how to do it: Issue is that after I've lifted all the tabs on the top of the cover, there seems to be something holding it all together still near the circular dial side. Really don't want to snap it so just looking for some advice. If there is already a post explaining how to do it, please point me in the right direction Thanks fellas.

Hey guys, I ran a diagnostic on the climate control of my r32 gtr, I got codes 24 and 25. Being in the garage I assumed I would get code 25 come up so I’ve written that one off. Code 24 is the Intake air temperature sensor, I got a new sensor through nissan and replaced it but the code is still showing up on the diagnostic. Does anyone have any ideas how I can rectify the issue. I’m currently also having problems with no hot air coming out of my vents not sure if this is related or not. Cheers

Ok so I have a r34 GTT and it seems like the climate control temp is incorrect. When set to 18 it comes out cold but when I change it to 18.5 it comes out the same as it does when on 32. I have no idea and any help would be great

R34 GTT climate control So the problem is that the buttons on the Climate control unit for my R34 doesn't respond when the clock that tells the time starts to spaz out. for example the minutes will go from 0:00 to 0:59 and will repeat. during the time of this malfunction I can not use any of the button on the Climate Control Unit. - I have recently put in LED's in the unit. I have gotten another unit from my other r34 and it works then the problem comes back with the clock, and no response from the buttons anyone have any idea?

Hey firends, I know theres been a bunch of posts on this before, but all are slightly different problems then mine so I thought I'd ask again. My climate control was working perfectly earlier this year, blowing nice cold or hot air as desired. The LEDs and display worked fine as well. Then suddenly my clock on the display just started counting up minutes very fast, as if the minute adjustment button was held down. Because the clock was constantly being adjusted none of the A/C controls worked either. I thought it might be stuck down or making bad contact so I took apart the module, nothing looked out of the ordinary, I even plugged it back in while still apart to make sure no buttons were touching but the clock still went up. A week later my clock decides to chill out and no longer counts up, which brings me to my current problem I need help with: the clmate control module is completely unresponsive. The led backlights still work and clock still displays, but none of the buttons do anything. Can't turn on the A/C and also can't change the time. It's just completely unresponsive. If anyone knows a way to fix it or how to troubleshoot some potential problems that would be much appreciated, would rather not go straight to shop and fork out cash.

Hey I'm looking for help with my climate control module. when I bought the car the clock was cycling through minutes like they were seconds and had thought that maybe the buttons that change the time were stuck pushed down. I never found a way to fix it and now the hours are doing the same thing, just constantly changing. However when this problem started the controls stopped working. I can press mode and change the direction of where the airflow will come out of, but I cant actually turn my air con on. I opened it up and everything visually looks ok on the board (nothing burnt out) and I don't know of any other ways to fix it. Id preferably not have to buy a new one but if there is no fix I guess ill have to. Any advice is welcome
