Hey guys. So took my car to a local tuner/mechanic to get it looked over, showed low compression cylinders 5 and 6, they did a leak down test, showed exhaust leak was the culprit. Rest of the cylinders were around 160PSI on average. Only issue i had with the car was with the A/C on, when it was a really hot day, and car was warmed up, when the AC belt engaged/disengaged, the revs would drop a little briefly and before the revs picked back up it dropped enough to stall out, also happened occasionally when going from 3rd to 2nd and i did a slow gear change, the revs would drop and engine would stall briefly until i released the clutch and the engine turned over. With A/C off it wouldn’t do that at all. This particular shop unfortunately didnt have the time to do the work for quite a while due to some race events coming up and the cars they were working on for those, so went to another shop that had a bit of a shorter time before i could get in, and had good reviews. They took the heads off, got it machined, serviced, new head studs, new gaskets, upgraded the valve springs and retainers, upgraded the cams, put it all back together. Theyre now getting about 120-130PSI across all cylinders, car really struggles to start up, and is making only 180kw ATW on 20PSI of boost, and previous owner who had all the work/tune done had 300kw ATW when he got a dyno test done Is there something shonky going on? How can the PSI drop so bad across the 4 front cylinders that were ok originally?

Rb20det low difference in compression test Hi guys did compression test on my stock rb20det r32 and came back with 1.150 2.150 3.120 4.150 5.150 6.150 are these okay results? Or am I looking at a rebuild soon? 32 has turbosmart boost T running 16psi only had on for a week but considering going back to stock boost and not using boost T. Car feels great to drive and made 155kw atw on 14psi and 430nmt

Hello all, I have a 1995 R33 GTR and I recently completed an LS2 coil swap on the car. It ran great until recently, when I started noticing a slight shudder and rougher idle. Thought it was a MAF issue so I cleaned them up, and resoldered them. I also decided to clean up the plugs and to my surprise, found that plug no. 5 was completely black, and oily. Now I dont know if this is a sign of a blown cylinder or low compression, but I decided to swap out coil no. 5 and changed the coil wire, but no change. I am at my wit's end, trying to figure out what is wrong with that cylinder and would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on what to do here. I live in a remote town in Canada, and do not have access to most things people do in larger towns, so have to depend on myself to carry out any tests or check things. This has gotten worse over the last 2-3 days, as I drove the car on a 200 mile trip, which was great until I got back home and it started to show signs of running stupid rich while cruising and lean when boosting. I have checked the coils, the wires and the plugs are all good. When I disconnect the coil wires no. 5, there is a very very minor change in the revs if at all. I can hear the coil ticking and the spark is there. If the injector wasnt firing, would it foul up the plug with black oily stuff? How do I check without the car running if the spark is strong enough? Could it be faulty injector or a weak spark? Is it also possible that cylinder 5 has lost compression? Please help me Thank you.

So here's the deal guys. I've got oil spraying out of my dipstick tube as well as pushing my dipstick out of the tube about 150mm each time. so clearly im getting pressure in the crank case but ive tried all i can think of now im out of options, so far ive: -replaced the PCV valve with a new genuine unit from nissan. -checked all breather hoses to make sure they weren't blocked. -done a compression test to make sure i wasn't getting excessive blow by that was causing oil to spray out. (read 140psi across all cylinders) now thats where ive hit a wall..... i cant think of anything else to check =\ any ideas? appreciate any help...thanks.

Hi Has anyone seen this before, its a R33 GTR. It looks like it has been done on purpose, rectangle dent in it. If so why? I think it is a return water pipe, its at the back of the engine.
