  1. Hi there I'm getting married on Sept 15 2023, and I'm looking for a car to drive me to the venue which is from Shailer Park to Rocklea (approx 25km). I was looking at having a Datsun 240k firstly but seem to be struggling to find anyone. I love my Skyline as that's why I was looking for the 240k, however I'm open to any classic Japanese car such as 240/260z, celica, 808 etc. I'm also open to some more modern Jap cars but it has to be something bit more special. So if you have anything please comment, message and hopefully we can work something out. Thank you
  2. Hey everyone, I just thought I should ask everyone’s opinions on my problem. I plan on buying a Datsun c211 as a project. It will be my first project car and I don’t know what engines will fit without any major changes. Such as if any rb engines would fit? thanks in advance to anyone that can help and I look forward to reading your advice.
  3. Melbourne Datsun Day is on again for 2017. https://www.facebook.com/events/1636747429704399/ Sunday November 19. 8am-2pm. Yarra Glen Recreational Reserve (same as previous years). $10 car entry, $2 spectators. Money raised going to the Cancer Council. They had quite a few trophies last year, a few skyline categories too. Bring something to wipe your car down with as the entrance road gets pretty dusty.
  4. OK this is copied from other forum, so if some things don't make sense just run with it. So I've been looking for a hako for about 4 years now, keeping an eye on the prices and how quickly they seem to be appreciating in price as the world notices them (thanks RM Sotheby's) and with some hard saving I've been able to finally make a purchase. The car is a 1971 2000GT with L20 engine and 5 speed. Unknown ks, bit of rust around the place (wouldn't be one without it) but overall a fairly solid start. I purchased this from Restored.jp who some may be familiar with, they make aftermarket FRP and carbon parts for old cars like that Hako. This was the owners personal car.. whether that's good or not is yet to be known but it's a nice story anyway. As mentioned in my intro post I'd be interested to have contact with other owners of Hakos in NZ as it would be handy for parts and general networking. I'll be working on this in stages (as I'm now broke) to get this up to road legal spec.. More to come but I've already figured a couple things I need to do before it's even here !
  5. hey all, plz look at the attached pics can anyone shed some light on this car? Rough year? Model? what they go for? etc etc Im looking for a project car Thanks

  7. Hi all, Up for sale is my 1978 datsun C210 skyline sedan. Bought the car with plans to restore it but became to hard as the car is at my dads property and I lost my license so didn't have a way to get there to finish it and it has sat there since. Car had a fair bit of rust but got rid of most of it apart from the passenger rear door (which I have a rust free new old stock door ready to go on which cost me 600 delivered and is included in the sale) and the rear left quarter panel behind the wheel arch. The rest was removed by myself but some has started to return after sitting for a while. Mechanically car is great and runs well and hasn't been thrashed as I bought it off an elderly couple and have only driven it a few times since. Interior is great apart from the dash cover which has started to peel back from the sun but to the best of my knowledge the dash underneath is good. Has vinyl roof which has started to dry out and crack from the sun. Also have some C210 fender mirrors which will be included in the sale. Doesn't blow smoke and doesn't leak oil. 96,638km on the clock. Selling to buy 80 series landcruiser or n/a r34 sedan so open to swaps. Located Gold Coast, Qld $3500 ono... Any questions ring me on 0415 835 930.

  9. Hello everyone, first post on the forum. I live in California and I'm trying to get some info for a project of mine. I have a 1973 Datsun 240z that I'm attempting to install an RB25det NEO engine and 5 speed transmission into. I am having a heck of a time finding a "HowTo" for wiring a NEO engine. I do not want to pay to have a harness build as I'm quite capable, provided I have the info I need to complete the job. I have been scouring the internet looking for any sort of well written how to on the topic. While I was on another forum I saw a member there who had received lots of help from a member of this forum. The member heres name is Simon, but I do not know how to get in contact with him. I'd like to speak with him to see if he would be willing to share some info with me. Below is a link to the other forum post I'm speaking about and in it you will find the reference to Simon. Simon is not the only person I'd be willing to take Info from, ANYONE with the information that is willing to share with me would be greatly appreciated. I am just looking for a basic (These are the wires you will need, ie: color/pin number, to apply switched power, ground, constant power ect) type of help. I appreciate everyones time and hope to have this project on he road soon, given your help. http://forums.nicoclub.com/my-r34-rb25det-neo-f3-plug-pin-wire-colors-still-confused-t542427.html Thanks again.

  11. Make: Nissan Model: 350Z Track Year: 2004 Body Style: (Coupe/Roadster/etc) Colour: Pewter Grey Version: (Track/Touring/Anniversary/etc) Engine NA Transmission: Manual Interior Material/Colour: Sunburnt yellow Odometer: 12*,***kms Price: $24,500 negotiable Contact Details: 0410888383 Comments: Up for sale is my 2004 Nissan 350z Track Edition. The car has been great since the day I purchased it, I've never had any trouble with it, the car is serviced regularly by me, the oil gets dumped every 2500 to 3500 kilometres depending on how burnt the oil is. I have been told this is excessive but I don't like running with burnt oil. Over the years of ownership I have upgraded some components for better performance as listed below: CUSCO ZERO 3 - COIL-OVER SUSPENSION (20 way adjust-ability) CUSCO - REAR CAMBER ARMS CUSCO - FRONT A ARMS CUSCO - FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS This set up alone cost $4000, I didn't want to lose comfort but be able to customise it easily to different drive types. Drives just like factory now with a bit more sharpness plus room to improve with its adjust-ability. (complete OEM suspension + camber + a-arms + sway bars can be included) TOMEI - EXPREME V2 HEADERS STILLEN - HIGH FLOW CATS X FORCE - EXHAUST SYSTEM K&N - COLD AIR INTAKE, AND PLENUM SPACER (complete OEM exhaust can be included by request) These modifications have opened up the throttle response and given the car a exotic exhaust note without having any annoying back pressure sound while cruising. The only time there is any rasp in the exhaust note is in 2nd gear at WOT which in my opinion fits the car. VOLK- GTS 19 INCH (9.5" front and 10.5" rears - brand new these cost $4600 plus shipping) Currently running on about 80+% tread with federal tyres evo 595's, the grip on these tyres is awsome, (medium to soft tyre). NISMO - TITANIUM SHIFT KNOB I-POD CONNECTIVITY - integrated into the OEM stereo and also charges the ipod/i-phone the standard stereo sounds great, good balance for the cabin setup. (extra speakers included + oem head unit) The clutch and flywheel have been replaced with a custom single plate heavy duty clutch, and a extreme single mass lightened flywheel late last year. There is some light chatter from the flywheel but isn't overly noticeable while driving but the clutch peddle is very light. As a standard car it is solid on the road with very minimal road noise, with cruise control for freeway driving factory Brembo braking system, this car is the complete package with nothing to spend. The Zed has been meticulously maintained and never missed a beat. Regretful sale but selling to cater for other commitments. I highly doubt you will find a Z car like this one, there are some chips in the front bar and a small dent in the passenger door (whilst in carpark) but overall for a 10 year old car it is immaculate. No low ballers please, anyone that has a real interest please call or text me with any questions, I'm am negotiable on the price to an extent and have a set of Advan AVS 18" wheels which i can include as an extra cost or replacement for the Rays Volk GTS wheels. (subject to price adjustment) The pictures don't justify how this car shines and looks under the sun, anyone with a real interest in this type of car will be impressed. http://www.carsales....0/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1 check out the link for pictures. thanks for viewing
  12. Yeah man, brand new Datsuns! This is slightly old news, but I only just found out about it. I love the 'Datsun History' at the end. Source
  13. http://www.driven.co.nz/news/motorsport/video-fast-without-fumes-electric-drag-racing-car/?ref=NZHNetwork I think this is awesome - volts vs cubes. This keeps happening and they'll have to get their own category. Any electric projects out there?

  16. Home Built Z 'Full video build' Hey guys, I have not been an active member here for quite a long time, but I have owned a bunch of Turbo Nissan's over the years, including my R33 which featured in HPI magazine many years ago now. I was out of the game for a while doing the sensible adult thing, but now I have finally come back to what I love, cars. I know this is not technically a Skyline, so if I am no longer welcome I understand. I have always had a thing for the 240Z's, and around 12 months ago I found a very clean (and stupidly expensive) 240. This week I have finally been able to start work on it. I bought it as someone else's project, that they tore apart, but never got around to doing much beyond that. I saw a diamond in the rough, as it was a complete car (well all the bits are there) and it has almost zero rust. I know lots think that, but the shell is amazingly clean. I have been working on another project, a '73 Porsche 911 RSR inspired build, for a while now and documenting it all in my YouTube channel. I have reached a stopping point as I am waiting for custom engine parts, so this means it is time for the Z. I first needed to replace the front wheel bearings on the 911 so I could put wheels on it and move it out of the way. I then got into doing a stocktake on my Z to see what it needed, and start formulating a plan for the build. Here is the episode.
  17. New to forum this is my intro Hi all I'm new here but not at all new to cars particularly not nissans and datsuns. I curently own a 1992 r32 skyline with a series 2 rb25det engine and gearbox. I've been building the car for a mixture of street sprints and drift for the past 2 years. All modifications have been done by myself with the help of a few mates and a lot of patience from the mrs (luckily she into cars). I'm a fully qualified auto electrician with a background around racing since I was young. Previous vehicles (nissans) include. Datsun 180b (street car) Datsun 180b (track car) Datsun Stanza (track car) Datsun 1200 ute (street car) S13 Silvia Q's (street car) R32 Skyline Gtst (street car) R32 Skyline Gtst (track car, same car as above but now to heavily modified for the street) This is the car I have now. Anyway that's it for now. I might start a build thread if I get time between work and garage time. Thanks for reading Brock.
  18. 1973 240z Brisbane 45k, but would be interested in an R32/R34GTR Deal I bought it 3 years ago now, with the full intention of turning it into a JDM princess and enjoying it. Unfortunately the best laid plans don't always work out. As the car needed more body attention that i originally thought, rather than restore the car and not enjoy it at all for 5 years, i chose to rebuild it mechanically and leave the restoration (read: respray) until a later date. The car has been finished for about a year now, and i just cant seem to get the energy going to strip it down, have the body redone, and put it all back together. It would be lucky to have driven 1,000ks in the 3 years ive owned it. I should clarity right now, this car is 100% driveable. It starts, runs, idles, brakes and steers excellent. The ONLY thing it needs is the rust removed, paint redone and new parts installed (to replace the old ones you wouldn't want to re-fit after restoring it). If someone didn't want to repaint this for another 5 years, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying the car and driving it anytime. With that in mind, i have decided to do an EOI on it to see if someone else wants to run the final 100m of this race and have one of the best 240Zs in the country. Apologies if there are rules against EOI, but either way i would struggle to put a price on this as the current market (Car Sales and Gumtree) is extremely inconsistent. Anyway, lets start with the good bits. As you can tell by the list below, this car had a very specific goal in mind, which was to completely replace everything which was old and crap, and replace it with as much JDM goodness as i could find. A lot of the work on the car (MCA coilovers, S2000 seat mounts, stack gauge surround etc) has been created by myself or D3C0Y and cant be bought off the shelf. In short, i have spent a lot of time researching and finding the best bits for this car, which are what is going to make it very well sorted. It was resprayed over the original green and the surface was not properly prepared. So there are some areas where the paint has split, has gotten silicone/moisture underneath which has caused imperfections. Rust to be removed. The only rust i have seen (and i have been working on the car for a few years now) is in the bottom of the doors and one spot under the rear window rubbers. That doesn't mean there isn't more, but its not showing anywhere else. It also doesn't have a roofliner, because the original one was replaced by some horrible white fluffy thing which fell off as i was driving from Brisbane to the Sunshine coast. Rather than fit the new one, i was waiting until it was resprayed so i wouldn't have to pull it out twice. There is a small leak in the tappet cover gasket from the head not being perfectly flush (bottom of head was planned so the headgasket is a perfect seal), one small leak from the front cover gasket and one small leak from the front of the diff. The Dash is cracked, and currently has a cover on it.
