Hi all, There have been all kinds of conversations on and off SAU about single turbo options for RBs (and other engines really) in the current state of the game and while I've not seen any evidence of compressor maps being inaccurate, different manufacturers use different ways to normalise and present the numbers, different cut off points, and different ways of estimating hp from compressor flow which can result in people expecting too much or too little from their turbos. I've decided to semi-roughly translate it all into an even measure and shove what I consider "the most relevant" turbos for most people who would be talking about turbo choices in here, and split the compressor flow potential they have at 20psi, 25psi and 30psi - using "65% compressor efficiency" as a cut off. Those are fairly familiar and reasonable reference points, and as you exceed 65% I view it that it's where the intercooler and hotside are starting to have to carry disproportionately more of the load to keep things happier. This is the "you're pushing it" zone, imho - even if it's not really maxing the turbo out. It seems to be a reasonable way of gauging them on a similar scale if you're going to being matching the turbos for real world performance. It may not be PERFECT but I think it gives enough of an idea of how they may compare, I'm pretty sure all these turbos have hot side options which are pretty close to supporting the exhaust flow needed these days - give or take, but some of the numbers here may explain a few interesting things seen.. So I have recently bought a 30det r32 skyline, but the problem I'm having Is that with the big air intake, the 500 hp fuel pump, the 1000cc injectors, the good ecu, along side the giant fkn garrett turbo that's rated upto 800bhp pushing at 18psi with a nistune set at a 7000rpm limit is only putting out 240kw. Sure it has a good tourqe curve with the 3L block with a 25de head but shouldn't bottom line bhp be more? I'll post some photos of work done on it and photos of engine but please tell me how I can get this to the 400 kw animal it should be

Selling borgwarner efr turbo. It's a 9174 aluminum chra with t04 twin scroll external waste gate turbine housing and oil drain. Bov has been removed / blanked from compressor housing as it was low mounted and not practical. Also have 2 new in box 40mm turbosmart wastegates. Would like to get $3000+ for the lot or $600 for gates and $2600 for turbo. Owes me around $4k . Was setup with old single wastegate . These ones have not been used Only removed as I'm going smaller and can't justify spending more money on upgrading fuel system and chasing big power numbers. May swap for something of interest. I thought I had a boost leak with the sound I could hear for along time but couldn't find it. Lately I have noticed my - 5s have had some smoke when coming to a stop. I don't think it's my valve stem seals as this was all done in my built motor. Turbos have done about 40,000kms at 500hp and now pushing 600 since tune 2 months ago. Do you think I'm on the right track?

All, For sale is a test-fitted and unused hi mount turbo setup . It hasn't seen any mileage AT ALL, and is currently test fitted sitting on the car. 6Boost Manifold T3 Spec. -Manifold has been ceramic coated silver by craved coatings in QLD. -The exhaust manifold flange is full billet. 6boost did a limited run of these back in 2016 and they're a work of art. They didn't reach the mainstream as they are simply too time consuming to manufacture. -T3 Single Scroll w/ 45mm v-band, kickass manifold. Turbosmart Hypergate 45 -It's a black hypergate w/ 45mm v-band to suit manifold. GT3071R T3 4" Inlet Version -Same spec as the HKS2835 PRO S. -Expect full boost around 3.5k mark with poncams. -Most of you looking at this will know its the real 3071R - not the lesser cropped version with the T25 ass end. -As used on HKS Genki D1GP Silvia and the Kei Office Sil - plenty of videos out there -It features 4" inlet, v-band dump flange, and T3 manifold flange. -Will include V-band flange & clamp for buyer. This setup is perfect for a solid street thrasher which holds its own on the circuit. Sxdevelopments were doing 1.04 laps around Wakie and 1.39 around SMP GP with this same setup (on 98 octane). On E85 the thing will be hypo.....so why am I selling? Reason for sale is simple - I had a head built in Japan by NAPREC. The portwork thats been done is completely nuts, so is the work in the combustion chamber. Talking to a tuner who does a number of WTAC cars - to get the goodness out of the head we are going with a big $$ EFR setup w/ T4 flange. We're aiming for 550whp .... so now it'll be geared solely towards circuit. At this stage its an EOI, once my other setup arrives from USA the sale will be final & the manifold/turbo/gate will be removed for the buyer. Asking price is $3350...& even though I'm losing out already....I'm slightly negotiable and located in Sydney.

Hey guys, I d like to ask for advice... My newly bought skyline running perfectly on 7 psi but if i raise the boost to 10 psi it cuts out at 6000 rpm and i just cannot tune it out.... when the engine is hot its getting worse (5500rpm)... I connected a smoke machine to check for leaks...I marked the blocked pipes with red X....the smoke is immediately (at low pressure) coming out from the crankcase and from the inlet manifold... It just doesn`t make sense to me how can it smokes from the engine when everything is blocked... Is my turbo leaking through the bearing housing back to exhaust and through the open valves comes out at the inlet? Or is it normal? Any idea? I m kind of getting hopeless for now maybe just i m the dumb and cannot tune it out (datalogit power fc, Z32 maf)... pls don`t spare me everything helps, have a good one

I have a Garrett gt3076r for sale, have had it sitting around for a while. It was rebuilt but then never fitted to a car again. it has the .70 front cover and a .63 internal gate rear, it doeantn not come with an actuator. Price is $650ono located in seven hills nsw 0407957947

Hello, I am thinking of upgrading my fuel system to E85 and wonder what sort of power I will get with my -5 garrets? I have to upgrade my injectors anyway to push these turbos further on 98 but will I get much more power going to e85? Thanks

As per title For sale is a brand new Garrett 3071R T3 EWG, 4" inlet, 3" vband dump, 0.63a/r. This is specced exactly the same as the discontinued HKS 2835 Pro S, with 0.63a/r. Rear housing ceramic coated to avoid heat issues. Garrett Gt3582r 0.63ar T3 with <500kms. Has a 90 degree outlet elbow welded. Together with in/out braided oil&water lines and sonic heat shield/bag. Turbo was fitted to car, tuned ~440hp 19psi, removed 2 weeks later and replaced with a larger unit. Been in storage for 18months. Hi all i have a stock rb25 neo for road use. I'm considering my turbo options, current spec is gtr 570cc injectors, hks 2530, power fc, intercooler and the usual bolt on stuff ive had plenty of skylines and silvias but never had anything top mounted so I think it's time i have not got massive power figures on my agenda, but response and solid boost while not pushing the neo to hard. I've narrowed it to the gen2 5558 precision or the gtx3076 gen2, any opinions ? i will either use 6 boost, sinco or a CRG manifold, v band likely and need advice on a wastegate too, is 40mm enough? It will run 98ron and I have a r35 gtr afm which I hope will cope ? thanks

Looking for a turbo to suit my RB20DET. The car is currently running a china T04E and I am sick of having no boost till 4000RPM. I am looking for anything suited to the RB20 engine. Standard R33 turbo would be fine, a TD05 would be perfect, but if you have one sitting around, post up what it is AND THE CONDITION IT IS IN and I will get back to you

Hi, Bought this turbo of another member is in great condition got it checked at gcg is a genuine garrett almost no shaft play have recently been offered a gtx3076r from a mate which will better suit my setup at the moment otherwise would use this turbo T3 flange, 4bolt 3inch gt exhaust flange 0.63. 4"inlet 2" outlet 0.7 compressor This is the monster 35r compressor wheel on a smaller quick spooling 30 series housing. Dual ball bearing, water & oil cooled. selling my garrett t51r. 76mm comp wheel and 1.05 exhaust housing. it is ta flange modified to suit t4 flange. twin pulse manifold with v band to dump pipe. will include v band clamp and cut off section of dump pipe with other half of v band flange. also included in the sale is 60mm exteranal wastegate and k&n filter with 3.5" 90 degree bend. turbo made 702.5 on my rb26/30 at 28psi. was an absoloute blast to drive. full boost was seen by 4350rpm and pulled all the way through. any further questions text me 0427852404 or pm location is toowoomba qld. will post at buyers expense or can arrange local pick up. chasing $1400 for the whole package, very cheap for big hp. only selling due to upgrading to gtx42 and new turbosmart gate
