RB26 Head Work Price Estimate? Hi all, I'm currently deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on a pretty all-out engine build for my R34; including new N1 block with the 2.8L Nitto stroker kit. I was talking to my mechanic about it and he was telling me about the supposed benefits of extensive head porting. The problem is I was quoted $4000 for the head porting job and another $1600 to recondition the head. I have to admit I really don't know much at all about how much such jobs are supposed to cost but it does seem unusually high. I was hoping someone with a lot more knowledge about such things could tell me whether these prices are legit or whether I'm setting myself up to get ripped off. Cheers.
