Vehicle insurance premium rates play major role in determining how much it will cost a person to drive his car in every month. People often end up paying 10% more than what amount they should spend their vehicle insurance. Are there any more tips to Lower Vehicle Insurance Premium ???? other than searching on Google!!!

In today days the process for chossing a Reputable Auto Insurance Company has become very complicated. How do you know what companies are reputable and which are just out to take your money and provide little in return? Before you shop, the first question to ask yourself is what is it you want from your auto insurance company. Mainly, you want them to: • Be fair – handle your claims in a fair and timely fashion • Have a strong financial outlook • Have few complaints filed against them • Be rated highly by private rating services • Be honest with you – tell you what coverages you need given your circumstances and how much it will cost • Be responsive to your questions – have someone available to answer your coverage and claim questions • Have a history of good service There’re so many categories of auto insurance coverage. What coverage do you need most? What can you do without? Picking up the best coverage options takes some time and efforts. 1. Go to the website of your state’s department of insurance. Therefore you’ll have a better understanding of your state’s auto insurance coverage requirements. 2. Check and review your driving record. Minimum coverage is not enough for risky drivers. 3. In addition to your driving record, you also need to consider other factors when deciding how much coverage you need. 4. Perhaps the most important step for finding the best coverage is to obtain the best auto insurance rates for your needs. 5. Extra Bonus.

A while back someone posted a thread about R34 GTR insurance and how much everyone was paying for it (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/360051-r34-gtr-insurance/page__p__6374995#entry6374995). At the time I was paying around 1900 for my premium with just car (originally 2500 but brought premium down to increase excess) for a 24 year old male with a 2001 v-spec II some mods agreed value of 65k living in mebourne. Just recently I recieved my new policy and my premium went up to $3700 p.a! My initial reaction was W#TF@! this must be wrong or some seriously bad joke, so I called up just car and to my dismay it was anything but that. My driving history, claims history, location etc is all the same. Nothing on my end has changed yet somehow, for some reason, my premium almost doubled. While I was in utter disbelief hurling a flurry of abuse at them on the phone they told me that it had gone up as a result of the christmas hail storm in melbourne and all of the claims that resulted, as well as the flooding in queensland last year. Surely that can't be right, that's too much of an increase. Has anyone else's R34 GTR premium gone up this much? I'm considering contacting the ACCC or ombudsman....

Hey guys, Just wondering if you guys have any recommendations on smash repairers in Western Australia? Even though it is covered by insurance I'm hoping for a place that does a good/decent job but not too expensive as if its too high in costs I'm afraid my car might get written off =( I have heard about Meltham Motors Car Craft and checked out Wagner's which doesn't look too bad. Any other recommendation would be good thanks!

R32 with RB25DET Legal Issues - VIC Hey Guys, I've had a good stalk through the past topics but can't seem to find anything that hits the nail on the head. Im going to purchase and R32 soon and I am pretty obviously keen on getting one with an RB25DET. However I'm not sure on the legalities/ insurance issues of this. I wanted to get some feedback from people who are running the engine conversion in their 32. I've heard that the R32's can be registered with the RB25, however i'd need an engineer's cert to avoid cop trouble ? If so, how much did it cost you to get your engineers cert? How did you go about insurance? Thanks all and apologies if this seems like bit of a noob question James

Car accident infomation. Hi guys I'm trying to find Information regarding this matter but seem to be having no luck on getting a definite answer. I wanted to ask if you get into a car accident and you're at fault and you pay for their repairs out of your own pocket but they have notified their insurance company regarding the accident does this still go on your record ? regardless whether you are or you are not paying for their repairs without them having to make a claim against you ? or does it only go on your record when they make a claim against you ? it's all super confusing. Only reply if you're 100% sure on this topic, I don't want to get mixed or wrong Information. Cheers.

Hi Crew. Last night I was involved in an accident ( not my fault) that has left my V35 with 5 panels of damage and my insurer requesting me to get some quotes from a preferred repairer. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could recommend a few good repairers in the Melbourne/Clayton/Rowville area (don't mind the travel as long as I can get my car fixed with a quality repair) Unfortunately I was hit by a Toyota *cringe* but fortunately I was not at fault.

Hi all, I have so many questions but would like to try the short version first so as to not bore everyone. I'm hoping SAU will be a wealth of people that has been through this before and know how the system works. I'm in over my head and trying to get some facts straight before I commit to anything. I have ( had ) An R34, Turbo, manual, coupe, it was stolen and thrashed for a night and dumped the next morning, more or less straight. The insurance company ( not sure if i should name them ) have had the car at a questionable garage in Dandenong, Vic for 4! weeks. The insurance assessor contacted me today. Word for word: "Mate, we're not going to go down the road of repair, we're happy to give you the agreed value (17k) if you can get down tomorrow and clear out your personal belongings from the vehicle." Some people would not touch their car again if it was stolen and thrashed. I understand this. I've also been warned from two other people in the industry to ' don't let the insurance people have it' I haven't made up my mind and i welcome peoples opinions, but the meat of the matter is: *I am not convinced the mechanic yard ( 1 star review on google ) has been honest, and done due dilligence. They reported the car runs, but has a 'judder' that the believe may be gearbox. However.. this is only from running it up the 50 m driveway because the plates were nicked and they aren't able to drive it on the road.... Isn't this what those trader plates are for? *I'm not convinced the insurance and mechanic aren't taking advantage and stand to profit ? * If my agreed value was 17k, realistically what outcome other than giving up can i negotiate? Would they pay me out for example 12-14k to take it on my own? Keeping on with a 2001 model car might not make sense logically... but she's 8 years of work and love, and was in really good stock condition before this happened. I'm not sure that i won't hate myself later for 'giving up on her' 34 GTT coupes similar mileage to mine are currently going for 25-26 on carsales. Help, please

Hi, I'm looking into purchasing an R34 25GT, after looking at some insurance companies and using the quote systems I've found out that insurance is upwards of $3000 and for NRMA it was over $5000. I'm wondering if there are any good companies that are willing to insure an R34 25GT for a more reasonable price, I've heard about Famous insurance but I can't seem to get the quote system working. I'm sure there are lots of people on here with opinions about getting an R34 as a first car, but please don't come here and tell me not to get one or something along those lines, I just want an answer to my question :) Thanks!
