  1. my key is stuck in the ignition need some help dont have auto parts anymore i have a r33 gtst 1994
  2. Good evening gents, Regarding drag racing our GTRs non tech’d IHRA in Real street class under the modern street car ruling. Has anyone done this successfully as the age limit is 2003 and newer to fall into the category. The definition or a modern street car is one that was delivered from factory with a minimum of a driver’s airbag and 4 wheel disc brakes, OEM ABS system The 33 Gtrs fit all these requirements and more so hoping there is a way for our cars to be defined as a Modern street car to be able to run faster times. Below is some legislation from the IHRA book. It does state 3 type of cars older than the date on the list but no GTRs. Please post or pm any info. Thanks Below is the legislation from IHRA rule book. Real Street is a new class dedicated for genuine off Street vehicles, Full Street Registration with Australian Compliance mandatory. Class designation: RST A/RST 2013 and later (Australian Compliance) street registered vehicles competing 9.00 sec to 13.99 sec ET / 165 MPH. B/RST 2003 to 2012 (Australian Compliance) street registered vehicles competing 9.50 sec to 13.99 sec ET / 150 MPH. Accepted vehicles prior to 2003 Include: Ford BA models Holden VX models Holden VY models Class Reg 45550 Real Street, Vehicle, Modern Street Car DEFINITION OF A MODERN STREET CAR is one that was delivered from factory with a minimum of a driver’s airbag and 4 wheel disc brakes, OEM ABS system
  3. Who's headed to Roll Racing first week of Feb 18? I should have my 32 there however it will no doubt still be on Run-in tune.. not cause the engine needs it, so I can get used to it!
  4. G’day Had a good look through, however surprisingly hasn’t been covered. Looking at getting a bit more squat out of the rear end of my R32, currently has quantum racing coil overs which are more suitable to circuit work. With the discontinuation of the HKS Hipermax drag coil overs what are people running these days for trips down the strip? car is by no means an all out drag car, i use it for as many different events as possible, however wouldn't mind having a set of rear coil overs to bolt in when looking to do some drag passes Cheers,
  5. Whoop ass wednesday 9th may is skyline night. Everyone with a skyline can come down and have abit of fun for just $20. I will be taking my car down and would be awesome to meet up with anyone else going down to the plex, also if enough of us will go down we could even get our own lane and have abit of freindly rivalry.
  6. Hey guys i have a r31 skyline and i have just started to get into drifting. I have done one skid pan event with it which i enjoyed. i have coil overs all round and a locked diff I need some questions from you guys about general stuff Ok so i need some Tyre tips: Wheres a good place where to get a good front Tyre in Vic and what tires are a good base for a entry level setup, i was thinking the federal 595? im not to sure. as for the rears where do you guys get your cheaper rear tires? also where do you guys buy your drift components in Australia like (hydro handbrakes, lock kits and other fun stuff)
  7. My R33 GTR is setup for circuit/street with coil overs etc, but I do like to do a few runs down the strip. So I have Advan A048 medium/hard's or Michelin Pilot cup something something--good street tyres which would be best for the strip and what warm-up process should I be doing ?? Car has around 650rwhp
  8. hey guys could be a silly question but was just wondering if its worth running all 4 wheels with E/T streets on a GTR to drag on, or just run the rears with the mickey thompson and run a good street tyre on the front?? was told that the side wall on the E/T's arnt very strong so not good for driving on the road cornering etc. any input would be good cheers
  9. Hey everyone I took my freshly imported R33 GTR VSPEC S3 to the drags last night to give her a go . The car is 100% factory apart from: FGK Titanium tuned length front pipe FGK titanium Cat FGK Titanium Twin Cat Back Xtreme Organic HD Clutch Restrictor removed Everything else is how it was from factory , nothing has been changed or upgraded V&E dyno reads 189kw @ wheels on 0.9 BAR I ran a 12.57 on first run and followed by 12.55 and 12.61 after that launching at 5500rpm Is this time normal for a stock GTR?
  10. Mark has run the Godzilla Motorsport R32 at Jamboree at 7.60 @ 180mph making it the second quickest in the world.

  12. Hey guys, thought I'd show you our R34 which we will be debuting at the Sydney Powercruise in a couple of weeks. It's been a while in the making so finding the time to finish it has been a task amongst all of our customers cars! It features a BC 2.8L stroker engine, Precision 7175 turbo and Haltech Platinum Pro ECU. The drivability of this thing is awesome, with the gates cracking at about 4600rpm in 19psi. Although it has Bosch 2000cc injectors in it, we hadn't upgraded the rear section of the fuel system but will have it finished this week. That's the reason why you will notice a lean graph, so we capped the revs at 5500rpm. Even so, as you will see it's still a quick car on 323kW, we think another 25psi will help it nicely
  13. Hey Guys, As most are aware we will be hosting a 24 hour Drift Matsuri in October this year. Entries are now open and the entry form is available. First 100 entries will get an extra 2 hours on the track! So get in early! Entry Form - HERE Neil

  15. The Birrong skyline went 7.90 @ 180 mph yesterday then backed it up with a 7.84 @ 178mph. Well done alex. Look out cause this car has plenty left to come
  16. Hey guys, I'm looking to build a custom R33 front crash bar for my R33 Gts25t. My plan is to build something that fits nicely behind my front bumper that will take the impact if i hit anything hard drifting, and hopefully save my rad/fmic. I'm looking for some inspiration here and pictures or drawings of any setups that you guys might have. Tips and tricks are also welcome!
  17. Hey all! Not sure how many of you are aware, but SAU:NSW is heading to WSID shortly. If any one feels like getting in, and running over 40 times down the strip in a day to really sort you and your car out, then you should head on down. In comparison to a normal Wednesday night, you're getting 60% more value for money in comparison of doing 40 runs over multiple Wednesday Nights! For more info head to: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/364933-s-a-u-n-s-w-private-wsid-drag-racing-day/ Cheers, Matt SAU:NSW Treasurer

  24. I'm thinking about turning my R32 into a drift car instead of trying to sell it.. I have the following shopping cart planned but my friend said I needed a few extra things. My currently planned list: Coilover Suspension Suede deep-dish steering wheel w/ boss kit sparco seat fmic LSD However he's informed me that once I upgrade from wet roads to dry roads, I could risk twisting my chassis unless I install something like that brace that runs through the center of the car. So that said, what else am I going to need for getting into dry road drifting (obv. I'm talking track)
  25. Hello everyone, Dunno if this has been talked about before but i did a search but couldnt find the answer i'm looking for. So, last year the drag race association here on the island joined IHRA and we got a lot of new rules and this year one of the new rules is that cars that are competing cant run with coolant that has glycol in it. Is there any alternatives to coolant or any other types of coolant that doesnt have glycol in it? Because i dont really want to rely on just water to keep the engine temperature down. Thanks in advance for the replies. Take care
