Well guys, after about 6months of not doing this, I finally got off my arse and did it, and it works!! Here is the link to the original thread where we discussed options and there are a few more links in there to some usefull sources. Thanks to a few people for helping with wiring diagrams and what not. First thing I did was purchase a digital unit and sub loom, then if you are familiar with the conversion in S13 all you have to do is unplug the analogue subloom and replace it with the digital subloom. But since digital control was not an option in the A31/C33 there is no subloom to unplug, it's hardwired into the body loom. So I did a bit of experimenting. I bought an analogue control unit and subloom from an S13 and plugged the S13 analogue unit into the ceffy and it worked straight away (easy replacement if your cefiro analogue unit stuffs up). So I came to the conclusion that the A31 wiring is identical to the S13 wiring when the analogue subloom is used. So the next logical step was to repin the analogue loom using the S13 guide, but if you have ever removed your control unit, you will notice that there is next to no slack in the loom and there is no space to get your hands in there unless you remove the dashboard. Not keen. So I made a new loom (I'll call it a hybrid loom because I can't think of anything else...shutup). It connects to the 3 plugs from the analogue loom and has 2 plugs on the end to connect to a digital unit. There is only 1 problem now.. I couldn't find any plugs that would fit in the digital unit so I had to butcher a subloom to use the 2 black plugs, and I couldn't find any sockets that would suit the original plugs, so I soldered some PCB header pins onto a PCB experimenters board. This is how it ended up looking In the first picture you can see the 2 black plugs from the analogue loom plug onto those pins, and the white plug fits in that white socket. In the 2nd picture you can see my awesome soldering skills and the two plugs that fit into the digital unit. Functionally it is completely fine, and the board doesn't need to be that big I just haven't been bothered cutting it down, but it looks like dogs balls and the board wouldn't need to be there if I had a proper socket thing. If you want to make your own conversion loom I can supply pinnout details. Thanks, Luke

My apologies if this has been talked about but i had a hard time searching through so figured id ask. Dont have an e brake at the moment but i have 5 lug hubs, knuckle, and ebrake from a 93 300zx 2+0 laying around and was curious if anyone knew if i could swap the assembly on to the laurel and stay 4 lug. Car is a 91 c33 and already has z32 brakes. Thanks in advance

1992 Laurel Medalist. My blower motor lately only starts working when the car is up to temp. I looked around the net and I'm not seeing a relay for the blower motor on C33's? Anyone have this problem? Is it possible the blower motor is just on its way out? I was thinking maybe an old relay that only starts working when it's warm, but not sure.

So after being Skyline less for almost 10 years i finally came back to the family and bought myself a Skyline now it has an ETC system which is the Electronic Toll Card system that japan uses and is no use to me in Australia. Now it has a black box on the dash with a small wifi style aerial and a card slot down near my knee. now i think it looks stupid as its no use to me but i also think its kinda abit of heritage of where the car is from so im stuck but i hate the stupid box on the center of the dash. Has anyone removed these with any dramas or should i just leave it so there is no ugly holes or glue skid marks on my dash?

whaaaaattsssss up guys!!!!!!! so my r34 4door is part of a friends movie project for their studies. ive bought some gauges to put onto the car for shoots but am lost at the moment. i bought an exhaust temp and water temp gauges to hook up just cause they look nice haha. now its only going to be a temporary thing and they dont actually need to read anything, just illuminate if that makes sense. then ill take em out. but im wondering whats the best way to go about that??

Hello to Sau looking some info regarding Y34 Rb25DET, I have wired Adaptronic 420D on my car, I know this ecus are quite old but i had it in my garage maybe last 4 or 5 years, and now i dare and start the car, system is old but still engine runs perfect and smooth, But... there is questions regarding gearbox, first what i didnot liked that i had to cut 1 and 120 degrees wires to CAS, after this tacho is not responding on dash, and second i have no slip and 4wd light on, i drive car today and gearbox works fine anyway it changes gears smooth as before (i didn't tried it yet with aggressive drive condition) Does anyone uses any type of similar ecus like piggyback? and if there is possibility to change gearbox with manual and fix and have 4WD in working condition?

Hey just wondering if anyone can help me out with some Info ! So I want to replace my 99 Gloria gearbox from the cvt gearbox to a normal Auto gearbox what gearbox will fit and would I need to change the ecu and other stuff ? ? any help appreciated thanx

After a lot, i mean a LOT of searching I can't really find a clear answer. HOWEVER, a few weeks ago I remember reading on SAU an R32 exhaust (all same floor pan) would fit an R34 Sedan with modified hangers? Can anyone confirm/find this thread?

G’day! First post after my intro. Have done a search to find which parts for a31 Cefiro are common to r32 and s13 and I didn’t find much. I know it’s such a broad question however, which parts from cefiro are common with r32 and s13 and which are purely cefiro. Front and rear suspension, knuckles, ball joints, control arms, powersteering, brake pads and rotors, radiator (rb20) and anything else would be great. I pretty much have to fix everything and trying to do it on the cheap.

Hi All Sorry if this is a dumb question I don't suppose anyone might know if you can just bolt a Z33 booster and bmc on a s15. I know the z32 bmc bolts on. Reason being looking to mount z33 brakes on the s15 so just thought it might be a better fit?

Hey guys, I installed an R32 RB20DET into my Cefiro but I have a few connectors that I'm unsure of where the go. Can someone help me out? First, these are the 3 plugs from the original RB20E Harness on my 1990 Cefiro. 2 of them don't have a home, and 1 plugged into the Skyline harness that came with the car... These two plugs are from the Skyline harness that I'm unsure of where they plug into... This connector is from the Skyline harness as well. I'm guessing it's from the diagnostic port? Moving into the engine bay, I have these three blank connectors from where the Auto transmission connectors went. Do I need to do anything with these three connectors? Something I hadn't noticed before until yesterday when I was taking these photos is the previous owner modded this connector. Can anyone mention what it was from and why they would do this when the car was Automatic before? These two connectors are from the Skyline harness over near the windshield washer bottle. I'm guessing they were for the headlights but I'm not sure... Onto the transmission, I have the two reverse lights and neutral switch that I don't know where to plug into. The reverse lights plug (I think that's it) also has the ends chopped off which I'll have to source a new connector or new sensor... Finally, this is the sensor? on the power steering rack that I have no idea where it plugs into. In fact, the plug was cut off apparently too so I don't know what the connector even looks like... There is one more connector I forgot to take a picture of when I did these from the Cefiro harness down by the windshield washer bottle that comes from the headlight harness that doesn't have a plug. The original plug was on the same line as the old MAF plug. I'll try and snap a photo later. Thanks guys!

i have a problem where at one stage the headlights worked but highbeam would come on with the low beam, i have checked the switch and it comes back fine, checked all fuses. but now the highbeam indicator on the dash cluster is on all the time and no lights work.

hey guys. i'm prepping to swap a SR20DET into my C33 laurel. The car was a RB20E A/T car. The issue I have is that I got the car with a VQ35 swap. I do not have the original RB20E engine and tranny harness. I do have a S13 SR20DET harness though. Can anybody help a brother out here?

I have a problem of starting my car. The rewire claimed its my resistor pack because the test bulb was on even before ignition key was put on at the nozzles. Aside this, the car couldn't start. The car is Nissan Laurel 1981 model injector car. Attached herewith is the resistor pack the rewire claimed could be the problem. Pls, educate me If actually it is the problem, how can I get a replacement? I love this car. I am a student in Nigeria. Thank you very much

Hi I have owned Cedric hy34 300lx vq30det CVT for a 2 years now. Its a great and one of a kind car in luxury car class history with this awesome technic, it really is a driving experience one of a kind to drive this car when it works propelly. Car really drives/runs like a train, so smooth and fine that i claim that a Mercedes S-class ride feels cheap after this. =) I have had few technical issues with the car what i have solved, one by one by my self. Now i almost have beated all the problems and for now, the last one is there. With this issue im lost and having a bit hard time to understand and thats why i am asking if anyone else there, somewhere, in some country have had this kind of problems with hes/hers Gloria/Cedric. The problem has been there since the car was imported straight from the country of rising sun. Climate control buttons+radio buttons aint working at sometimes. Its even a bit hard to explain especially English aint my mother language as you have surely noticed already, hmm i try my best.. When i turn on the ignition or start a car, whatever. Buttons sometimes works and sometimes does not. When i go for drive they suddenly starts to work or suddenly stops working on drive. Because the car is strange Japanese architecture and i dont understand even a half what navigator/computer settings are i tough first that there must be some locking what disables some buttons in some speed OR SOMETHING like that. But it seems its more likely a broken climate/radio unit or something. There is also a cd track forward button thats has been broke from the beginning. A buttons is somehow very loose and feels its not attached to anything it just hangs on there, not working never either(ive also been thinking is it possible that this broke button is time by time full pushed to bottom all the time what disables all other buttons, but ive forgot the idear because shouldnt the cd change songs repeatly if that would be the problem and it aint....?!?!?!?). I can add a video later about the broke button to realise what i mean. I also added a picture from my dash/unit where i can show which buttons stops working and which works all the time.(Green spots are buttons that works always and red spots are buttons that stops working a time by time.) I marked the broke button wrong in picture with two red dots, i marked track reverse to be a broke one for a mistake, correct one is track forward button next to it! Ive already tryed to find a used replace part/unit from Japan auctions and i found a few on sale but it seems that there is propably 3 kind of these units available. It seems its manufactored by Clarion for Nissan and one model is without navigation cd slot and two with it. But which one part number part my car has, i dont know and i think that only way to even get this part number is to remove the unit to find out. Is there anyone anywhere who have had this kind of issues or could have some help for me before i have to remove half of my car interior to remove a holy center console to get this climate/ radio unit out of there for inspection. !!!?????!! HELP PLEASE!

Hey guys, need some help trying to figure out what the plug is on my chassis/engine harness next to the ECU, the three engine plugs have a home but there'sone plug on the chassis harness that is missing a home. Anyone with an auto RB20DET if you could reply to this and tell me if you've got it plugged into something. I'll upload a picture tomorrow morning, it's nearly 11pm here and it's too dark to see anything. It'd be nice if it's just an optional plug as my old chassis harness was ripped to shreds and had an R31 ECU hard wired in.

Hi everyone, This is my first post and I am in desperate need of some help. I am in the United States and I have an imported A31 Cefiro. My car was vandalized and someone smashed the drivers side front window. I am struggling mightily to find a replacement. There are of course no spare parts in the United States and I have so far been unsuccessful sourcing one from overseas. Does anyone know where I can source this window? Or can anyone help to get one shipped over? At this point I'm willing to pay just about whatever it takes to get the right glass. Anyone have any ideas? I greatly appreciate it!! Thank you, Blake

So my Cefiro has conjured wiring demons yet again, and this time they're attacking my Power Window fuse and both headlight fuses. Headlights go for about 2 days, but unable to track down when exactly they pop. But it seems like they'll work and then not work. Power window fuse definitely pops, when my windows are down and the car is turned off/on. Car was parked up for a bit in the garage while I installed an R200 LSD so there could be a possibility of corrosion of sorts.

So I've had an issue with the cabin/dome lights in my C33 Laurel. They were replaced with LEDs before I bought the car, but they will not turn on. The fuse is good, but it looks like there isn't any power at the switch. Is there a common point of failure for the lights/wiring? I'd like to avoid tearing out all of the wiring unless I have to.
