Not my first time posting the results of my fun times down the strip, and certainly not going to be my last. Please see my video below documenting my adventures. After setting a PB of 14.2 @ 159kph back in October 2017, I decided to take my 2003 V35 back to the Perth Motorplex back in may before they closed up for the winter. The car should have been in great form- freshly serviced, a set of splitfire coilpacks (installed after the car threw a code) and some stainless steel test pipes (shedding 16kg of weight alone). I was gunning for a 14 flat, maybe even a high 13, but alas it was not meant to be. Despite a higher top speed (160+), I lost 2/100ths of a second and kept running 14.4's all night. It appears the car has picked up in the top end, but the 60ft times suffered. Where I was redlining 3rd previously, I still had an extra 500rpm up my sleeve. The only things to do now would be a tune, and maybe a 3:65 manual diff, so with bonus time coming up at work, that's what I'm planning for. But at least I know there is room for improvement! Mods as current: Apexi single 3" exhaust Stainless straight pipes Plenum spacer Injen short ram intake Grounding wire kit Splitfire coilpacks Tein coilovers Godspeed front/rear swaybars Factory Rays 19x8/19x8.5 forged rims with Achilles ATR Sport 2 tyres Please have a watch of the video and feel free to leave your thoughts below.

Are Turbo Timers illegal modifications in NSW? Are BOV's illegal modifications in NSW? Are FMI illegal modifications in NSW? Are Boost Controllers illegal modifications in NSW? If so, can the above become legalised with the addition of a engineering cert? If not, why can these illegal mods be sold in australia and so easily assessable? Unlike for example lock picking implements which are impossible to find nation wide?

So here's my ugly yellow thing: And that's how she rolled off the boat from japan, resplendent with stone chips, grandpa-grill and stupid sleepy eyelid thingies. Now the interior. Where to begin. There was no less than 3 different sized TV screens, 2 independant CD stacks, 3 head units (yes, three), 2 amps, 2 subs, 2 different alarm systems and more dodgy wiring than a Telstra telephone exchange. Just about everyhting had a remote too, and they had all been attached to the key ring. The entire key ring with all the alarms and remotes was so big that it couldn't fit inside the elbow-box on the centre console. The import guy couldn't stop pissing himself laughing as he handed the keys over. My favourite part was probably this though: This photo was taken halfway through my exorcism of the wiring-demons. Note the innocent-looking little box near the top of the tangle? This ingenius device was labeled "MAXIMUM PARTY LIGHTS". When activated, it flashed the headlights, brake lights, indicators, high beams, reverse lights - EVERYTHING - all in time to whatever music you had playing. Sometimes there are just no words. There were also 2 little black boxes jammed under the centre console. Their sole purpose was to play ridiculous little tunes. One box played an irritating song if you left the door open with the headlights on. The other box played a completely different (but equally irritating) song if you left the keys in the ignition. Here's the thing though: they didn't disable the factory Nissan "bing bing bing" sound. If you left the keys in the ignition with the door open AND the headlights on, what resulted was the most god-awful cacophony I've ever heard. Surely one stupid music box was enough? What the hell made them think they needed 2?! I removed everything that wasn't factory, put it in a BIG carboard box and put it on my bathroom scales. 29 kilo all told. 46 kilo if you included the subs. That's equivelant to like, a small girlfriend. I threw it all on ebay and was able to offset the rego cost of the car, so pretty happy about that. Aside from the atrocities committed against the electrical system, the car was otherwise unmolested. There was a HID kit that looked professionally installed and a cat-back exhaust. Considering some of the lemons I've imported in the past, I think I managed to score a reasonable Dayz edition Series 2.

I'm selling my 1998 R34 GT-T which has done 105,000km and has had regular oil changes in the 5 years I have owned it. I'm the second owner in AU since import. ** The car has front end damage ** - About 2 years ago I had a front end crash which pushed the radiator into the engine fan and totalled the headlights, reo bar, radiator, bonnet and front bar. Rather than fixing this properly, I was lazy and went out a bought a new front bar, reo, xenon headlights, radiator, and carbon fibre bonnet. I pushed out the bar that the radiator sits on with a jack, slotted in the new radiator, bolted a new reo on, then zip tied the headlights and front bar on, and replaced the bonnet and intercooler with a brand new ones. The car is used as an everyday work car so it is driven from Crafers in the hills to town 5 days a week and rarely driven on the weekends, so it's pretty much just wasting my petrol money. I have been pulled over about 4-5 times since the crash and have not been defected, although it could be defected if a cop wanted to be a prick, but so can 95% of the cars on the road. I spent about $8000 at once in mods about 18 months ago and had it tuned to 260rwkw. I've listed the mods that I had done all at once: Exedy heavy duty clutch GT-70/36r Turbo Greddy Profec B 2 boost controller Z32 air flow meter Denso high flow fuel pump Nistune chip Splitfire coil packs 3 inch cat-back exhaust 3 inch custom dump pipe 3 inch custom cat These are the other mods that have been done to the car before the above: New bushes and tie rod ends BC Racing coilovers - bought off justjap for $1,100 three months ago (only done a few thousand km's) HKS blow off valve Front mount intercooler (black stealth style) Apexi turbo timer Shift light Air/fuel ratio meter 17" mags Carbon Fibre vented bonnet Small aero side mirrors Xenon headlights Clear side indicators Full fibre glass body kit Rear seats and seat belts removed - can supply B-pillar lock bar (Room bar) Front roll bar Front upper adjustable camber arms Rear adjustable camber arms I may have missed out a few things but as you can see it's had a decent amount spent on it and is ready for drift or track, just needs a retune. You could just keep it as it is and drive it like it is, or spend the time on fixing the front end properly. I'm asking $12,000, and I will consider swapsies with a 4x4, preferably a patrol or navara. Give me a text or call on 0431516718 if interested. Cheers, Tom

Hey there, just joined the forum and also just got me a 91 r32 GTR, I'm kinda familiar with the car, didn't see or talk of many growing up. But I'll just get strait to the point, I've got this great car and i want to throw some money in it. So far its stock I've got a basic understanding of modding a car but i figured because there's so many people doing it on here maybe you could point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Heyyyy guys. i have a r33 wreck at home i have starting stripping which has a rb25det standard in it with low compression and blown head gasket. the engine still runs but overheats slowly and sounds like its running on 5cyclinders. i purchased the car for $1000 so i dont expect much and i kind of got it for parts. moving on. i just recently aquired a r32 skyline with a rb20det and ill tell you this is the first time i have had a r32 and i like it. i like the r32 more then the r33 but the car is heaps slower then the r33. could be something wrong i dont know. a couple of questions i have and i would appreciate as much advice and feedback as i can get from the experts here or people who have done what im doing before. should i sell the r33 wreck and keep some parts and put them into the r32 or should i do up the rb20det r32 and sell the rb25det or should i sell the rb20det and put in the rb25det after having it rebuilt. i see you can get rebuild kits cheap off ebay and most of the money is going to be labour. im located in perth if anyone on here can help me out be greatly appreciated. the rb20det is running without a problem but is slow the rb25det is running on 5 cyclinders but runs faster and better but im too scared to drive it because of the head gasket and overheating (overheats slowly) dont want to do more damage. what would be the best thing to do, taking into consideration i have alot of cars and i dont really want to spend stupid amounts of money but it would be nice to get 300-400hp out of one of the engines for under 5-6k other thing would it be worth putting the r33 turbo on the rb20det r32 and boost it to around 12-14psi it looks like the rb20det is running 10psi currently with stock turbo as the gauge says. the car is really loud and looks like the BOV is making most the noise and turbo spools nice. so currently i have a complete r33 rb25det and r32 rb20det can i make one really good car out of two or should i just wreck and sell all the r33 stuff and put that money into the r32 rb20det reason i ask is because alot of guys here are removing the rb20det and selling them to s13,s14,180 guys that are full on with the ca or sr engines and want a RB but not prepared to do a 25/26/30 config also how much is a rb20det worth and a rb25det i got told rb25det sells around $1500-$2000 without box. i dont want to sell the box i got offered $800 for mine because of the head gasket needing repair. is that a good price ? sorry for writing a book^ but just trying to get some quality expert advice. Thanks guys

My V36 from stock to where she's at now! Hello everyone! I thought I'd share where my car is at, at this point in time since getting her personally imported by a friend 2 years ago. She's a 2008 Type SP 370GT. When she arrived I got all paperwork and Japanese Service history to validate all the K's were genuine. She arrived at my door with only 43,xxx kilometers! In the past 2 years Ive spent a few thousand modding her and putting her up to 67xxx kilometers. The photos are in order from her sitting at the docks in japan awaiting a ship, then a friend doing a photo shoot for me, then just random photos of her through out the mod life in order as I got them done. A bit more to do unless she sales by then. ( Asking 29k btw, Its probably one of the if not cleanest tasteful modded genuine 370gt, with all paper work to validate everything. SO BUY ME) haha anyway back on track. Let the Photos Begin! P.S Share your Cars Progression!

E85 gains with vq35de? Hi everyone, Just bought my first Stagea a few days ago, a 2005 350rx. Just wondering if there is anyone here running E85 on the NA VQ engines, and whether there is much gain to be had? My last car was a turbo mx5 which was running E85, and that saw noticeable gains. My to-do list of mods will include (but are not limited to): -plenum spacer -z-tube intake -exhaust (any other easy recommendations are welcome. don't want to go too expensive) Thanks, Nic

So I'm about to buy an old Nissan 300zx for 1500 and put a rb26 in it. It will be my dd(dont ask why I need a 450hp dd) and it will need to be reliable. here are the mods I plan to put in it. Just a disclaimer im a huuuge noobie with cars. on the list the ones that dont have specific parts I havent decided what part. turbo - garret 2560r OR hks gtss fuel pump intercooler - garret core cooler(not sure which one) ecu - power f clutch cams - tomei pon cams Here's some tuff i might get: flywheel, head gasket, air flow meter, exhaust, transmission, and intake So my actual questions, are these necessary? do I need more? where do I find these parts? should I get them used? Should I try to do the work my self? Is there a better car or engine I could use? could I find a shaker hood scoop to go with this? Also i havent bought anything so if your thinking "why is he getting that?" please correct me. So like i said im a noob so car people will bitch at me thats fine just correct me as well.

Not sure if i am posting in the right section.. if so please tell me.., I'm kind of new to this forum, but have heard its good for information and opinions.. I currently live in Perth WA, I own a Series 2 R33 Gts-t with the following mods Blitz EBC ~ 12.5psi (with quicker spool up) & turbo timer & boost gauge) K&N Air filter (with pipe leading under for better flow of cold air) HID FMIC Splitfire coil packs (with spark plugs gaped to 0.8) Turbosmart BOV Full exhaust system 3.5" from dump to cat, then 4.5" cannon. UN-Tuned. Pulls pretty good for what it is but still not enough for me and sort of have an idea of what i want to achieve high 300's in Horsepower I have been doing some research and wanting to go for a Garrett GTX3071R- 56T Turbo, with Hi - Mount manifold possibly a 6-Boost one with a Mines 44mm External waste-gate with screamer on it... I'm going to Buy these in order.. Garrett GTX3071R- 56T turbo 6Boost Manifold Haltech Platinum pro plug-in R33 *All ready have Mines 44mm ex waste-gate* Fit everything also extending dump pipe.. Then get it tuned.. once fitted ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First question, is it a good responsive turbo for the power im seeking, what would it give out to me?, The site i am buying the turbo off said ***sold without a turbine housing*** on GCG, does anyone know what size or thing i need for this as this is the biggest part im stuck on... Is it good with that manifold and to be ex gated?, Would it be necessary to buy Bigger Injectors? e.g 550cc injectors or larger?, Can i high mount with all the crossover pipes n shit still there? or? Is heat wrap necessary? What boost Level would be a good for what i have, to be safe? is the 44mm mines ex waste-gate suitable for it? I know screamers and BOV's are illegal and can get yellowed for them so i don't need any comments about that, i currently have faker screamer (split dump) and the BOV on and have had no problems so yeah i am just after that info ^... Thanks guys, appreciate any help Brandon,
