Hi all, I finally have to transfer rego for my R34 GT-R over to the ACT (from Sydney) and so I have to get the car inspected/passed. The only mods I have on the car is a surprisingly quite cat back Apexi N1 Evolution exhaust and (my biggest worry) a Trust Oil Cooler Kit with Oil Filter Re-locator. Are those oil coolers (with the Re-locator & braided Teflon lines) able to pass rego or will I have to get an engineering certificate to pass? Cheers,

Did a bit of a search but couldn't find the answer. Is it worth getting an oil cooler for a street car, or is it overkill?? The car is an R32 GTR, makes 300rwkw and only street driven. At what oil temperature should one consider getting an oil cooler, any ideas?? Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi, was looking for some advice/opinions. Ive researched and had a read up on oil coolers and LSD for my car. Car is R33 GTS-t S2 soon to be around 300rwkw. Driven maybe twice a month and a few track days per year. Oil cooler - I see a few guys had done their own and cost $3-400. (quite like the article http://www.trak-life.com/diy-r33-skyline-oil-cooler-with-thermostat/) I was looking at the Trust / Greddy 13 row oil cooler kit at $586 from RHD. http://www.rhdjapan.com/trust-greddy-standard-oil-cooler-kit-ecr33-rb25det.html or possibly the 19 row Mishimoto universal oil cooler http://www.prospeedracing.com.au/products/Mishimoto-19-Row-Universal-Oil-Cooler-kit-Black.html. Any problems in hooking up a oil temp and oil pressure gauge up to the sandwich plate ? Both have a thermostat ? So I'm in process of building my 34gtt Will be aiming for about 500kw atw Have not spared a dollar on set up going full nitto forged bottom, g30-900, plazmaman manifold fmic, 1650cc Bosch (a lot more but you get the idea with my list) At what stage do you get an oil cooler and is it necessary or a wank factor? Car will be mainly street, occasional roll race and very occasional circuit Do they really make a difference? I will be sporting restrictors, head drain, nitto pump, baffled extended sump with high flow pick up and baffled cam covers TIA

Hello everyone, I am working on a 1993 R32 GTR for a friend of mine and have to install a Greddy oil filter relocation kit and a Greddy Oil Cooler. The oil filter relocation kit comes with two plates (one that goes where the original oil filter went on the block and one where the oil filter will eventually sit [somewhere near the dirver's side strut mount]). The oil cooler comes with a thermostatic sandwich plate which also seems to go where the original oil filter position was. However, it also mounts up to the plate from the filter relocation kit. Do I just hook up both kits as normal and simply screw in the thermostatic plate on the oil filter relocation plate and then the oil filter on top of that? Or do I put the thermostatic sandwich plate on the block (and attach the oil relocation plate on top) I have included a picture of the 3 plates in question. The plate on the left is the plate where the oil filter will go after being relocated, the middle on is the thermostatic plate that came with the oil cooler, and the plate on the right is the plate that screws into the block where the original oil filter location is. The second picture is just me test installing it to show my idea. I was wondering how I should route this and needed input from anyone who has done this. I.e. How to arrange the plates and which tubes to go to which ports. P.S. I didnt order these parts or plan this out I'm just the one installing them. Thanks in advance!

Hey all. Up for sale is a Used Takata 4 point harness (expired in 2011 but still good for club level use) its a genuine item with the hook latches but no eye bolts. Had this for passengers in my car but never bothered putting it back in so its here for sale. its a little bit dirty but could wash up fine! Perfect working order Asking $150 plus postage. Secondly is a brand new Earls Oil Cooler Core with -10AN screw in fittings. It is a 10 row unit that I was going to use for a diff or trans cooler but im lazy and dont want to do shit like that anymore. Part no is 21000ERL sizing is as follows. I have a Greddy/Grex thermostatic oil block adapter hooked up to a Mishimoto 19 row oil cooler in my R33 GTS-T. The oil cooler is located in the drivers wheel well with ventilation cut into the splash guard to pull air through it. The issue I'm finding is that my oil temps are very low. On track they sit at 85-90C (previously 120-130C), and on the road in winter they are sitting anywhere between 20-40C (previously 80-90C) with ambient air temps of 8-10C. I paid extra for a thermostatic adapter so I wouldn't have these issues, but have a feeling it could be stuck open. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get my oil temps higher or test the adapter? I don't want to make covers for the cooler as the adapter should be doing this job.

These are the first items i could get to that are in storage, there will be more to come shortly 3ltr Alloy surge tank with twin bosch 984 fuel pumps, all braided lines in the pictures included. All fittings are genuine speedlflow, no chinese copies. $650 Trust Greddy Airinx air filters, had about 1 hrs use on the dyno only, as new $160 HKS air flow less adaptors. (replace your AFM when its no longer being used) a couple of scratches where they bolt to the air filter from the spanner. otherwise in great condition. $200 Oil filter relocator block with Speedflow male fittings -10. unkown brand, oil cooler it came with is pretty rough but ill throw it in with them if someone wants it. $60 also have hoses at an extra cost HKS GTRS turbos. one is damaged due to oil starvation the other appears to be fine. Suits a rebuild or someone looking to modify a pair Has HKS heavy duty actuators fitted. $700 Fujitsubo Giken exhaust. full stainless steel front pipes are 2.5" into 3" system rear muffler is titanium. I believe the cat converter has been knocked out. road legal DB level. has usual dents and scrapes. needs a good polish as muffler looks like it has been wire brushed. $450.00

Help identifying a part I need some help identifying a part in which i have developed an oil leak on my vq25det. The search function isn't helping me today. Its the part which the oil filter attaches to. I'm assuming its the stock oil cooler but my mechanical knowledge is very limited. If anyone could point me in the right direction for a part number that would help me a lot in finding a replacement.

Piece together a Nismo style oil cooler kit for R34 I am trying to piece together a Nismo style oil cooler kit for my R34. seems like you can just buy the Nismo oil cooler ducts, and would be a lot cheaper to buy all the parts seperately and you get better result. Similar to what member HIRISK has done. Do you know what size Setrab oil cooler should I get? Hi Guys & Girls Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, I did search the forums but could not fin the info. Please advise link if there is one and I will delete this thread (yes, I'm a total newbie) We finally received our 2003 350GT V35 Skyline (Track Edition) last week. I'm looking for an engine oil cooler kit for it and would like to know if any of you have fitted one to your vehicles and which one you used? We are in remote Western Australia so we do not have performance workshops up here to be able to take our vehicle for a custom fitment. I have searched the internet high and low and made numerous phone calls but as the description of the part says it is for a 350z or Infiniti so I'm a bit sceptical to order a $1300+ part not knowing it 100% will suit. To be honest I'm not the full bottle on imports, my partner is the Skyline man (owned the R33 or R34 years ago) of our family but is away working and I need to organise one. I absolutely LOVE the car, so much better than the Hilux I used to own If anyone could share their experiences it would be greatly appreciated. LM
