Hey guys, I am trying to bleed my power steering system, I mistakenly started the car with the power steering reservoir on its side and it drew air into the system. So far I have had the car on jack stands, turned the wheel lock to lock 20 or so times while topping up the fluid. Started the car for 10 seconds and stopped it numerous times to flush the pump and it is still foaming/ bubbling out the top. I have been waiting for the foaming to subside before priming it again by means of turning the wheels or starting the engine. I have repeated this maybe 10 times and it is still foaming over when I stop the engine. I can hear the fluid swishing and gurgling around when i turn the wheels. Has anyone got any advice? I am fairly certain there are no leaks as the level has always stayed constant... let me know what you think before I give up and take it to a shop.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how this manual switch is done to eliminate the rock hard steering when the ecu doesnt register the speed? -
Im in the middle of changing my timing belt and cant remove the drive belt, alternator and P/S. Is there a certain sequence of going about this because i keep tightening the belt but the reverse is doing nothing at all. Iv undone the hinge bolt pictured in the second picture. The two bolts im confusing of their functon are in the first picture.Ive undone the short belt, and tightned the long one and it pulls the alternator back essentially tigthening it. Help want to finihs this early if possible. so i managed to take the alternator belt off by removing the water pump pulley. Anyone know where the hinge bolt for removing the A/C, Power steering is? Would undoing the tensioner circled loosen the power steering?

Hi Im going to play my blonde card because i keep getting told different things I want to know whats the best way i can check myself if its the steering rack i need to replace in my R34 GTT skyline, or the power steering pump. When she starts you can hear the rattle, especially turning, but its a constant background noise (and when your car is already deafening, the rattle really drives you up the wall) Ive check the power steering fluid and that topped up to the max and is running fine. She jutters a bit steering. But id be really unhappy if i replace one and find out that wasnt what was causing it

Oil/Coolant substance in Engine Harness If it's not one thing after another. So as I was removing my alternator due to an issue with receiving 18v from my charging system, a puddle of what appeared to be a oil/coolant mix formed next to my head on the floor. Now my car hasn't moved since Aug 12th due to a broken leg (only pulled it forward 8ft out of the garage once after disconnecting the alternator to hang ceiling racks and check voltage). This substance was legit pouring out of a connector (engine harness side not the power steering line) plugged into a power steering hard line directly under the alternator. Any ideas/suggestions as to what could be causing this? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks gents!

What size hoses do I need to connect the gold pipes?

What size hoses do I need to connect the gold pipes? thanks -

Hi,

My 1994 R32 GT-R has two possibly related problems. After driving for about five minutes the power steering basically shuts down and the steering is heavy as if it has no assistance, at about the same time the HICAS light comes on.

The power steering fluid level is normal as is the reservoir in the boot. My mechanic says the power steering pump is not showing any obvious signs of problems and the car is genuine low mileage and generally mechanically excellent.

Any suggestions, before I take this to Nissan?

Note that the steering returns to normal when you switch the car off and start again though I have not worked out how long it takes to "reset".
