Hi! Has anyone tried replacing the hicas computer between a r33 gtr and r33 gtst before and knows if this works? Gtst art: 2850519U10 Gtr art: 2850524U10 The reason for this is that my powersteering goes heavy from time to time, and recently stoped working fully. I did try to fix my old unit without succes. (gtst) I now have a second hand hicasbox from a R33 gtr. The units look exactly the same on the outside with identical pin connections, but Inside it looks alot diffirent! For example, In the gtst box there are 2 circuit boards, in the gtr it's only 1 etc..? I'm just want to retain the powersteering function! as my Hicas steering is removed.

Hey yall, I'll keep it short n sweet. My r32GTR powersteering pump seals are bad and it leaks quite a bit (Only when the car is warm is seems though). I've done some research and only found new replacement seal kits such as this one : http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/power-steering-pump-seal-suit-nissan-skyline-081989-121990-p-1899.html Are there any other options you guys are aware of? (Aftermarket, refurbished)?

Need help! I have recently had my r33 converted from auto to manual. And have lost speedo which means no power steering. and a few other things like oil pressure, but just put an after market one in I read alot about people loosing powersteering but no one says how they solved it! It might have something to do with series 1 and 2 looms? If anyone knows please help me out!! Thanks ^_^

Steering judder when turning left (R34) Had a bit of a search but didn't come up with much. I've recently noticed an issue with my steering where it 'judders' slightly when turning left. It seems worse at slow speeds i.e. full power steering assistance. Turning right is ok. Couple of things to note: The steering rack has been rebuilt earlier this year. I had really bad judder (both ways) when it went. I've checked PS fluid level and it seems ok. I'm using the original auto trans cooler as a PS cooler so the circuit is longer and has more fluid compared to the standard OEM cooling loop setup. I've just changed the tie rod ends and both ball joints have been lubricated appropriately. I always lift the front of the car up using a 30cm plank to distribute the weight across the crossmember behind the sump. The crossmember has gotten a little dented over time, and when I was doing this recently I heard a noise and noticed that it's slightly more bent than before, which is not great. See pic below. I always thought it was safe to lift at the x-member? Anyway my working theory is the rack may have moved slightly in relation to the crossmember, causing the RH piston to bind slightly and resulting in judder. Is this plausible? If so, how do I fix it? Could I just loosen the rack and re-tighten it? I hope I haven't busted the crossmember enough to need a replacement, as that'd be a major job... ^^^ The crossmember looks a bit better in this photo than in reality

Dear all I hope you guys can help me before i'll throw this Car away. My Power Steering Belt slipped for the third time (one time completely and now the second time "only" half way and straight into the Cooler Fan which made a lovely Sound midway my Trip). I'll bring it to my mechanic to look into this (propably the Car is just cursed and hates me) but i need to drive it to him which takes me a 3 hours drive. The last time a guy from the breakdown service fixed it by relaxing and tightening the belt again, which i tried too, but i've loosen the Bolts according to the DIY FAQ and the P/S Pump won't move at all to loosen the Belt. I've tried pushing, pulling, leverage and even a hammer out of frustration, but the Belt stays tight as is. Can anyone point me in the direction why this Car can't just be easy to work on once?

Hi all, I am thinking of getting some additional power steering cooling for the track and wondering what the easiest way to do this might be. One idea I have is replacing the OEM power steering cooling loop behind the RH fog light with a leftover GTT Tiptronic auto trans cooler – would this work? Cheers guys
