Hey Guys, So I've blown a headgasket in my rb25 r32 gtst. I've had a few problems with it with the MAF and some idle issues, but now the headgasket has died. I've been tossing up between just fixing the rb25 head gasket or leaving it for a little bit and building a rb25/30 on the side. If anyone has done it would you say its worth it and what power are you pushing and how much did it cost? What do I do?? Thanks

Hi im looking for a machine shop who can modify a rb25 head for fitment onto a rb30 in Lismore NSW or South east Qld thanks as i have recently moved to this area and dont know of any local shops that can be trusted

Ok so I'm a little bit unsure which path to go with my new build this year... I'm building a 25/30 and looking at GTX42/PTE6870g2/EFR9180 and not sure if I should keep VCT and run 268 9mm or get rid of VCT and run 272 10.4mm. I'll be tuning getting it tuned on my manual box then moving to a glide setup as most stuff I do is mexican highway/drags/roll racing. I still want somewhat of a powerband, will probably only rev it to 8k to stay on the safe side for the hydraulic lifters. Positives and negatives to both, if i delete vct I'll have to clearance head for big lift, but I won't have to do an external vct oil feed, laggier. If i keep it gotta run external feed, smaller duration and lift but bring the turbo on quicker? Head will be ported with +1mm valves also. Also those of you who run ross balancers, is the metal jacket ok or should I upgrade to the race series? (A/C retrofit is exy). They rate the metal jacket to 600hp which ill be exceeding but just wanted to see what people are running. Open to other options as well if any.

Sup peeps! I'm chasing some recommendations, want someone to take a stock R33 RB25 skyline and build a reliable Rb25/30 build. I've got the turbo (T51R) and thats it. Will want to run e85, street car setup, so mod plates galore. Any recommend any shops? Pretty much anywhere in QLD honestly travel isn't hard for a decent bulid. In absolutely no hurry this is a once in a life time thing so I am starting research now.

Hey guys, wanting to get rid of my skyline as I can't afford to keep it anymore. Has had heaps of money spent on it in the last few years between me and the previous owners, as you'll soon see. Unfortunately, it now needs a short motor. Compression in cylinders 2 & 5 is down to 65psi after a vac hose popped off the bottom port of the wastegate at about 5500rpm, the boost then went through the roof instantly. It now fills the catch can with oil in two days and doesn't want to make any more than about 17psi. Still drives fine off boost though. Anyway, to the parts that are in it: Stock rb30 with r32 rb25 head, std cams. Adjustable cam gears. New timing belt. RIPS intake manifold. id1000 injectors. Tomei fuel pressure reg. ARE surge tank & 044 in the boot. TIAL blow off valve. 100mm GTR style FMIC. Cheap stainless high mount turbo manifold. GT35r with 66mm compressor wheel, a/r 0.5 surge ported front cover, a/r 1.06 internally gated rear housing. Internal gate has been bolted shut and a 38mm external gate fitted, gasses plumbed back into exhaust. 3.5inch bell mouth dump pipe down to cat. 3inch cat back, one muffler at the back. Air filter enclosure. 50mm alloy radiator, never gets too hot, ever, even in heavy traffic. NPC 5 puck button clutch, light under foot. Gear box has developed a light crunch shifting into 4th gear. Cusco 2 way mechanical LSD. New Driftworks CS1 coilovers. New GKtech Castor rods, Camber arms, Cradle mount washers, Drift lever & button, Brake master cylinder stopper. Sparco wheels, good tread Hero's up front and Autogrip's at the back, 235/40/18 all round. Hicas lock bar. Nardi deep corn 350mm steering wheel. Grex shift nob. GTR Zenon headlights. Link G4 plug in ECU with USB tuning cable, controlling boost through computer also. Car was making 400rwhp at 20psi untill the vac hose incident. I'm in the mood to here what people would offer to buy the car as is, needing a short motor and a gearbox rebuild. I'd like to get $10,000 for it as is RWC & remaining rego. I am more than willing to consider any serious offer. If no reasonable serious offers are made, I will put a short motor in it with a new tune and rebuild the gearbox while the motor's out. In that instance I would ask for $15,000 or near offer. Photos to follow.

Hey guys selling my gas stag regretfully 97 s1 stagea R33 gtr gearbox clutch less than 1yr old S14 lsd diff Custom tailshaft Gas research lpg system Garrett gt2528rs turbo Aluminum radiator Thermo fan Front mount intercooler R33 front brakes Apexi safc Coilovers all round 160kms R32 gtr wheels with good tread Towbar Made 190kws @ wheels on 13psi Was planning on building a rb25/30 for the car and hav a nice rb30 ready for it...just last week piston 1 dropped compression. I dont have the time or space to do wat I planned for it and sadly has to go...has been my everyday driver and hasnt let me down.. its cheap to run and runs better on gas!!! Comes with 160psi all cylinder good runner rb30 engine ready for swap or a rb25 can be had for 1k just swap the parts over.And quite a few spares if the price is good The car is still complete and registered even drives well still and all great besides motor. Hey there need some urgent help with my 25/30. I have just installed some tomei 264 poncams and now my car idles like crap. The whole car shakes and vibrates and just doesn't feel right. I have new lifters, upgraded valve springs and retainers, new valve stem seals and the tomei 264 poncams. I have a tomei exhaust cam gear installed with no advance or retard.Controlling everything is a pfc l jetro and I have 700cc injectors. The car revs and drives ok but idle is horrible. Timing is spot on and no matter how far advance or retard ignition timing or add and take away fuel the idle does not get any better. Now don't get me wrong it changes the idle and ratios but the best idle I can get is still crappy. Every video i see or person i ask that has installed these cams say they are straight drop in and do not affect idle like what I am describing, but my idle woes only happened after the cam install. I thought bent valves but got a reading of 150 psi on all cylinders doing a dry compression test. Can anyone give any advice? I am totally stumped and bout ready to go back to the original cams cause this idle just is not right. Anyone with any experience please give some advice.

s13gtr AWD S13 Gday guys, Here is my s13 i have been playing around with for the past few years, started out as a cheap drifta but got bitten by the drag racing bug and have chased that path for a while, but i still want the car universal as i want to do local circuit and motorkhana days. I have been slowing increasing the power, increasing turbo sizes from gtx3076-gtx3582-gtx4088-gtx4202 to currently having precision 7675. As i made more and more power it was getting hard to put it down so i was searching for a R32gtr and then they became unaffordable for me so i bit the bullet and went AWD on the s13. Slowly gathering parts for the conversion, i didnt want to commit until i had everything.Tinkering away in the shed i got my hands on a frontcut for dummy assembly, once i was happy with engine position i just started stripping my car apart and threw it in... Newb intro for Patrol RB build Not sure the intro will be beneficial but hey lets see. Thinking about dropping an rb25/30 into mt rd28 gq. Instead of throwing money at the boat anchor that will probably do its head this may be a sensible way to go. Any info/links would be appreciated especially specic to the gq transplant. Thanks gents and gent-ettes
