  1. RB25 Drift Build Question's / Advice. Chasing some basic advice for the finishing touches and general opinions on my RB25dett build, this motor will be primarily used for drifting and run on e85. The build so far... Block bored and honed CP pistons Eagle rods ARP head bolts ACL race bearings 1000cc bosh injectors N1 oil pump Upgraded water pump Gates timing belt Fuel rail Custom forward facing plenum High mount steam pipe manifold Pierburg external fuel pump, walbro in tank pump + surge tank Trust fmic Alloy rad Turbo I am unsure of the best turbo to run for my application. I do have a Garret gt3582R + external gate, which I got second hand, but has too much shaft play. I have been quoted upward of 1k for a full rebuild from MTQ Engine Systems. Should I repair it and run it, or get something more compatible? What should I be looking for? Obviously for drifting I want fast repsonse and not a lag monster, I am not chasing huge numbers from this build, reliability and good repsonse is the goal. ECU Motec M8 External Head drains I have heard really conflicted things about external head drains. Are they worth it and effective? I was looking at grabbing the Spool kit? And I will be running a catch can. Should I run an oil cooler? This is my first 25 build so be kind, I am only a grasshopper. Any valuable input appreciated.
  2. Nissan Skyline R32 -> R34 Hi there! I may or may not be doing this correctly but here is my shot at it. My name is Sony and I live in the United States, I am 19 and am going to be purchasing an Nissan Skyline R32 GTR soon and will be doing an R34 Body Kit Conversion to it as well; I will need help from each and everyone of you that will offer it, and I am definitely looking for ideas and questions from everyone reading this that are interested in JDM and GTR's, about this whole project I will be starting up soon. If I may start this off, does anyone know of any decals they would want to see on a show room level GTR, and what color scheme I should do?

  4. Hey everyone, I have a mystery problem that I NEED help figuring out. So 2 weeks ago I bought my first import a 1992 r32 skyline gtst type m, with an rb25det engine swap, overall a wonderful car that has been nothing but a pain in the butt. I noticed the problem the first night I drove it (learning how to drive manual on it) I stalled out at a stop sign and she wouldn't start back up. Ended up draining the battery and killing the alternator. Once we got those replaced I started seeing the problem as if I drove the car around for <2 miles and it either stalled or got turned off she wouldn't start back up. Spark plugs were fine so I assumed there was bad gas (smelled like bad gas) and I replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the fuel lines along with dropping and cleaning the gas tank. Also did an oil change with a new filter for the hell of it. Nothing changed. She starts up in the morning after sitting all night and if I drive her for a while she won't start back up when she turns off or stalls. Brought it to a shop that specializes in older Nissan and they said it was probably the PTU over heating and that I should buy a new one and plug it in myself so I save money. I just wanted to get your guys opinion on this. As I said the car will start up and drive fine but it's when it stalls after being driven that it won't start up again. Thanks guys!
