  1. Hi Gents, I recently purchased an R32 gts-t Mspec coupe for a reasonable price (I think). The reason it was cheap is because it isn't road legal and requires some chassis repairs before it can be certified and road legal here in NZ. The previous owner had owned it for 20years and imported it over from AU to NZ 8 years ago (2015) with intentions of eventually getting it certified here in NZ. He finally started this process a few months ago to find that it has un-repaired A-pillar damage, in additon to a poor repair to the front chassis rail (both damages on the drivers side) and he doesnt have the resources or time to repair it. Apart from this, the car has been extreamly well kept, garaged it's whole life and is in presitine condition for it's age. My question for you legends is this; Do you think the damage to the pillar and/or chassis rail is repairable without having to completely chop/replace the damaged area? Or even worse, a full front end cut to replace? I'm really hoping this can be repaired with hydraulic pulls and extensive panel beating instead. Also keen to know how major you would score this damage; From 1 being "minor - crack on with it" and 10 being "don't even bother mate - she's cooked" Cheers fellas
  2. So my engine blew up, so for the time being I got a rolling body ?. So while I have the chance I want to do some rust and interior repairs... Is it worth remvoving all the rust from the big bar that’s behind the dash and steering column and then re-spraying it with new silver zink spray or am I going into a rabbit hole which is going to be difficult to come out of? If it is worth it and I’m going to do it, does anyone have any advice for me? Cheers in advance

Hey guys I rear ended another car today and was just wondering if its worth claiming insurance as the excess is at $1800 and wanting your comments on whether or not my damages are significant and how much it would cost forrepairs. The other car is fine just scratches so it shouldn't cost too much. I've uploaded a few photos below My poor 34 ='( Thanks guys!

NEED HELP RB20DET HIGH RPM MISFIRE Hey guys i was hoping to get some assistance i own a R32 GTS-T had a blown head gasket at that point could still rev to red line... now i have had the car repaired changed the head gasket water pump timing belt and kit all drive belts had the head machined cleaned and crack tested arp head bolts added brand new iridium spark plugs brand new splitfire coils and a new coil loom etc car is all back together now starts perfect feels fine but when u give it a good rev starts mising at 6000rpm only things i realy havent changed are igniter afm or exhaust im hoping some of you may be able to assist with some ideas or if you are local to even come out and look over it with me this is my first skyline so i am new to the scene but if what i have stated here isnt enough feel free to ask me direct questions id be happy to brain storm thanks guys!

Nissan Skyline Steering Rack problem Hallo guys I am back again but this time with a Nissan skyline steering rack problem.There was sound coming from the front when turning the vehicle and on checking I realized that the power steering fluid had bubbles and was quite low in the reservoir.I topped up the steering fluid , suspended the front wheels then turned the steering several times lock to lock to remove any trapped air.Quite satisfied the level was no longer dropping I then tested the car.When turning the car the steering wheel sort of vibrates and on inspection of the power steering housing and cylinder assembly I saw some fluid coming out of both inner tie rod clamp boots.When I removed the clamps on the boots a lot of fluid came out. Now my question is has anyone faced this problem and is it possible to change the seals rather than the whole steering housing and cylinder assembly.One mechanic says change the whole assembly but its quite expensive.Also what could have caused these seals to give in.Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  7. Advice/Recommendations: R34 Suspension repairs + coilovers Hey guys. I took my R34 GTT to Pedders for a full Brake, Steering and Suspension check after noticing some changes in my steering and road feedback. Turns out I need about $1300 in wear and tear repairs, and I also need to replace all 4 shocks. They said the only company that would make shocks for my car would be Bilstein and I'd need to get their Sports range which would end up costing me a fortune, and I'd be better off getting coilovers. They quoted me $1900 extra ($3200 for everything) for their own coilovers. But they reckon the maximum ride height of their coilovers is slightly less than my current height (factory height), and I really don't want to lower it (my baby is all stock after all). I would prefer to get a full coilover conversion than just replace the shocks, but does this mean I will need to lower it a touch? Are the Pedders coilovers good quality? ie would you recommend them? or if not, who should I look at? Is the price quoted reasonable? Thanks for any and all advice!

Hey guys, i just got a viv check done on my skyline and i got a couple problems i have to take care of Main thing i was hoping you guys might be able to help me on was, i need to get a repair manual that states the manufactures guidelines on how to repair a r34's bodywork. i called up my local nissan dealer and they said they only had the guidelines for adm vehicles. Anyone able to help me out? Cheers
