Hi guys, i'm new in the carworld and finally got myself my dream car. the R33 I bought a 1997 40anniversary R33 GT-S 3weeks ago. I gave it a service(change oil, oilfilter and sparkplugs) and the car runs great. I don't drive much. 20minutes to work, and 20miuntes back home. There are times when the car is on for more than 30minutes(Incase i have to drive my gf somewhere before home) that my car sound turns into this gruggling noise but my meters seems like nothing is going on. One thing that comes to mind that i am not using a coolant. Just using water atm in the radiator and i think that the water becomes so hot that it maybe causing the gruggling noise to happen. I can get home, turn off the car and start it back up tomorrow and the sound is back to normal like nothing happend. just that if the car is on more than 30minutes i hear the gruggling noise(doesn't sound like a bubble noise, just a harley davidson idle ish overheat noise idk how to explain) My car is currently at 394WHP if i'm on stage B(22psi) but its currently on stage A(16psi). I tried hitting up 3 local mechanics but they told me it could be my thermostat or a blown headgasket but they seem too busy to give a hand. So i thought to ask on forums. I thought maybe flushing the radiator untill the water end up coming out clean, and get an antifreeze coolant should do the trick but idk if the issue might continue. Any help would be nice

Differences between factory and Bose speakers?

Differences between factory and Bose speakers? Hi, Is there major sound differences between the factory speaker sound compared to the Bose system on the V36 PV36 models? Thanks, -
R32 Nissan Skyline GTR: Exhaust Sounds of Blitz NÜR-Spec Catback - Free Rev & Acceleration Apologies for my terrible on-camera performance, we sort of rushed through this to get it made, ha ha. Anyways, I made a quick video on the exhaust sounds of a Blitz Nur-Spec catback on a mostly stock R32 GTR. Enjoy, lol.

BOV leak? Induction sound help!! Hi skyline aficionados. I am fairly new in Aus and recently I bought a r33 s1 gtst rb25det. About a week ago I was cruising around and a cop pulled me over, the usual story, drivers license, open the bonnet etc (ok, I wasn't cruising) Everything was good until he gave me a yellow sticker, this was new to me, who would have thought that in Aus the cops are also mechanics.. Anyway, today I took the car to the pits and it failed because of missing mesh in IC, tyres with low tread a pod filter without permit and a blow off valve. All of the above can be fixed quite easily with the exception of the blow off valve.. The engine is practically stock, just have aftermarket IC, the pod and the boost valve is bypassed, the blow off valve is stock. The car does indeed have a massive induction noise, which is why the inspector complained.. I don't need to rev a lot to start hearing that induction sound and at some times (seems to be only in constant rpm) the sound seems to be slightly metallic, if I just push the throttle the sound keeps going up until I lift it and i ear normal turbo flutter, not the pigeon sound just the normal decompression. Could this be the stock BOV leaking? a boost leak? the pod filter?? The only odd thing that I see is the boost valve bypass, its not the usual grounding the black wire and leave the hoses. Instead I have the wastegate connected directly to the hose that comes from the turbo and goes to the IC, the top connector on the valve has nothing on it and the bottom one is connected to the intake (after the IC) will post some pics later. Long story short I just want the noise gone otherwise i might as well ask for a job at the pits since i'll be there all the time. Since this is my first post and I feel bad to ask without giving something I OCR'ed the entire R33 manual to make it search friendly (will make another post) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2fI6rThQ1T9YTZaT1JfN3IxekU/view?usp=sharing Thank you all

Hello! I just recently had my Timing belt done and all the accesories, tensioners/pulleys etc. The shop who did the job is very reputable and have done many jobs like this before. So when I got my car back I didn't notice anything, the car sounded fine. Drove it home, (3 hour journey) and just as im arriving when I do a pull from 1st gear in the parking space I hear a whinning noise from the engine? Was pretty tired so decided to look it up the next day. I read through some forum posts with people who experienced similar problems. That their belt would make squeaky noises, when warmed up mostly and around idle. In my case this is what i've discovered so far: Noise is there both when the engine is cold and warmed up and only seems to be apparent from 1000--1500rpm. Anyone have any ideas what this noise can be?!? More frustrating than anything! The timing belt kit installed is a Blueprint oem replacement. Sorry if this has been covered before, I can't recall reading anything. My M35 has a strange clunking/crunching sound at low speeds. It doesn't appear to happen at higher speeds (over 40) although I guess it's possible that I just can't hear it. To me it sounds like it's coming from the rear somewhere and also sounds like it is at the same point on the rotation of the wheel. ie whenever the wheel gets close to that same rotational position it clunks. It's been an issue for quite a long time and just haven't got around to working out the problem. Incase the issues are related; I also get chirps constantly (that I assume are from the ATTESA) and a year or so ago I lost my passenger side rear wheel on the highway so there's potential that there was some minor damage from that accident that is slowly getting worse? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Thanks,

I have a Fujitsubo exhaust that came as a spare with the V35 I bought. I have no need for it so it's up for sale. Located on the southside of Brisbane but willing to post at buyers expense. There are a few minor scratches/scrapes as seen in the pics but no major damage/dents. Very nice looking and sounding exhaust. $450 http://imageupper.co...364477841129589 http://imageupper.co...364477841129589 http://imageupper.co...364477841129589 http://imageupper.co...364477841129589 http://imageupper.co...364477841129589

Greetings at you all. Recentlyish I put a GTR BOV on my R33 GTS-t sedan just for fun and perhaps a little more Bov noise. All was good for a day or so, then it started doing the weird fart noise at about zero psi. I thought it may have been because I did the small hose inside a larger hose trick, so I got a 38mm - 28mm reducing style hose and put that on but it still does it. So I made up a plate from some aluminium sheet and drilled some smallish holes in it to use as a gasket, thinking that the reduced flow to the plunger might help. It gave me the flutters, so I made the holes bigger and back came the fart noise again. If I block off the bleed hole on the outside of the BOV will this fix it? That is the next thing I was going to try. I have tried a different GTR BOV and it still farts at the same zero psi and put my GTS-t Bov back on and the farts stopped. Yes the GTR spring is softer than the GTS-t and I guess the GTS-t bov leaks back into the piping but the GTR leaks out. The car may even be more responsive with the GTS-t bov on? Knowing that many people have used GTR bovs on GTS-t's and that this fart issue has come up before (as I have searched heavily but found no fixes). I am at a loss and am wondering if there is a reason it happens and a way to stop it. If all else fails, I'll just use my GTS-t Bov again. No big issue. In case it matters, I have K&N panel filter, silicon intake pipe, Stock Turbo, 10psi actuator, R34 smic, gutted cat and 3" catback blitz exhaust. Any wisdom is much appreciated. TL;DR ??? Why does a GTR BOV on a GTS-t Fart? How can the flatulence be stopped? Rob.
