really need some help with this one guys. I've been reading about and scouring the net for solutions but i cant seem to find anything that's fixed it yet. Ive got an autech stagea (260 RS) and whats happening is ill be driving along all good, and sometimes randomly, but usually after ive been coasting in gear for a bit then go to accelerate there will be either no response from the throttle of it will try to rev up and start sputtering like crazy and blowing out black smoke for about 2-3 seconds after which it will come back and run fine for the next few minutes till it happens again for 2- 3 seconds then runs fine straight after. Odd. so far few things I've tried based on what I've found on the forums from similar problems are: new fuel pump, replaced fuel reg, replaced CAS, replaced ignition pack, new splitfire coil packs + changed spark plugs as well as plugging in a consult cable to check for fault codes, there were none I'm really running out of ideas here guys the car other wise runs fine and isn't down on power at all so im really just scratching my head over this one one other thing i should add is today i pulled off the BOV's because i noticed just last week that i was getting a bit of fluttering, if say i put my foot down to full throttle (WOT) then back off to about half throttle it would flutter. (not sure if thats related to the sputtering at all) I pulled them off and set them up for a bench test, and under 20 psi i was getting a lot of leakage out of the recirc outlet on both valves, within about 3 or 4 seconds the pressure in the piping dropped right to zero checked everywhere else and there were no other leaks from anywhere else.... surely that's not right?

So any help appreciated guys, There's countless posts on misfiring on this site and I've viewed most of the ones I've found, to no avail. Engine details: RB25DET S1.5, ECU is Haltech E11V2, running a MAFless tune, Garrett GT3582R, Upgraded Intercooler, GFB manual Boost controller, Tial EWG 63mm, Nismo 740cc injectors, 3BAR MAP sensor, Bosch 040 fuel pump, Sard adjustable fuel reg (with gauge (set at 55psi) HKS Oil cooler and remote Oil filter, Splitfire Coils, NGK Copper plugs gapped at .8 with 21KMs on them. So car developed a missfire last week, over fueling, hesitating at all operating temps (biggest from TPS 0 to >2) from startup to shut down with a rich and lean pops in exhaust, surging during acelleration and cruising. Checked usual culprits in order; Coils, Plugs, Tune re install, Vacume and hoses, Fuel Reg, Compression test, Injectors Flow tested and inspected All okay, TPS sensor, Coolant temp sensor, Air Temp sensor, MAP sensor, related wiring, AAC valve, replaced Fuel filter, and ECU checks out. Nowe I havnt done the CAS, as I was under impression that a faulty cas will cause problems with starting, and it starts like nothings wrong. The BOV has been on for 4 years (was on car when I got it) and never had an issue with it before) have checked to make shure Diaphragm in Fuel reg isn't totalled and it's all fine. And no it hasn't had an o2 sensor on the exhaust (ecu) since acquiring it. The air fuel mix at idle is around 10.8:1 richining on throttle depress. All sensor have been tested with Multimeter and viewing on the Ecu both are in sync. Cars in Red Center Nats in a month so would like to have it run by then. Any help appreciated

Sputtering under load and idle Ok so i refitted the turbo to my 97 R33 GTS-t on the Christmas break and have noticed that under load (say 80km/h in 5th or 60 in 4th) if i put my foot down the car will reach about 2.5K and start jerking and sputtering eventually evening out at 3-3.5k. when i first noticed it i was running 91 from united (so it was probably half water anyway) so i ran a full tank of BP 91 and injector cleaner through it and the problem was less noticeable but not gone completely. the next step was to run bp 98 through it to see it i was just running too low of an octane rating which didn/t change anything (what is the downside of running a lower octane BTW, engine damage or just terrible economy/running?). also sometimes when cold (idling at 1.5k to warm up), the engine will slightly miss every couple seconds but i assume this might just be a sign of the cars age. So am i looking at rubbish injectors or should i start looking at the coils or spark plugs (the plugs probably only have 10k on them and no idea about the injectors or coils). For note the car is running just off stock (basically pod filter, front mount, a 3.5" exhaust and bypassing the 2-stage boost controller) Cheers guys

Hey people. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea whatsoever what the issue may be with my V36. It recently started sputtering around 3200RPM as you can see in the video (Please ignore my dodgy display), nothing has been changed recently and I have tried resetting the ECU/throttle position/idle air/etc. I've checked for exhaust leaks and can't seem to see anything, the ecu is throwing a throttle position sensor code however advice from the interwebs mentioned to just reset the throttle position and nothing more. Happens in Auto and tiptronic regardless of gear, the only time it doesn't occur is when my foot is to the floor however that isn't feasible :P. Cheers in advance! Video of sputtering
