Hi All, Just wanted to get every ones advice on a couple of things. currently upgrading the whole fuel system. fuel system will consist of 8an feed and return, turbosmart fpr2000, raceworks surge tank with x2 walbro 460s and 1 walbro 460 in the tank. my question is, from the tank to the surge, im planning to use a push on 5/16 to 6an fitting to get from the tank to the Supply of the surge. is this large enough? if not how should i configure it. Also, regarding the flex sensor which is to go in the return line. the return will be 8an, is the flex sensor in line going to be a 'bottle neck'? car; r32 gtr if it makes a difference. looking forward to hearing feedback, thanks.

  3. heya guys due to upgrading my engine set up im upgrading the fuel set up i have a polished round 2- 2.5ltr surge tank ready for dash fittings, im going to run duel 044s so want a dual outlet surge tank. $50 may post located northern suburbs S.A

  7. Swirl pot install caution Good evening all, About to do a 2.3L swirl pot install on a R33 Gtst, already have the hardwear, running a single Bosch 044 pump with a Bosh 040 lift pump. Now the install itself if got down to a T, however upon further reasearch on the UK GTR forum's, it's been mentioned about using a larger return line from the swirl to the main tank, in order to prevent the swirl pot from cracking. Any substance to this claim as I'd assure that even by going on something like a -8 that the size of the connection on the fuel sender would still restrict it anyway. Essentally my goal is to do this install without the need to modify the existing sender. All other aspects seem straightforward enough but this is the only thing that has me hesitating. If anyones fitted a swirl to a 33 and modified the sender any info would be appreciated *for the record the same forums said that mine line from lift to swirl and swirl to fuel rails would be fine on the current diameter.

Hi all, I have 3 different surge tanks all brand new.. 1- lge 4L twin pump surge tank with pump holders and filter holder, does NOT come with pumps but does include new custom braided lines and fuel filter on rear, an10 to pumps, an6 for feeds, $250.. 2- 2.5L round twin pump surge tank, an10 for pumps, an8 for feeds, $80.. 3- 1.5-2L square single pump surge tank, an10 for pumps, an6 for feeds, pump holder, $85.. I am not interested in you coming back to me after 6 months! - If you require further photo's I will gladly take more and send them to you. 1: Item: Apexi power intake Condition: Fine. used for approx 5000 kms. Wont be needing it due to going single turbo. There is a little bit of surface rust on the brackets but a quick sand and a paint will sort that out. Price: $200 2: Item: Under boot surge tank. It was on my R33 GTR and holds 2 x 044's. I will throw in the pumps (2 of) however I don't know what sort of condition they are in. The Feed/Overflow and return bungs are -8. Condition: It could do with a clean and a repaint. Price: $200 3: Item: HKS Twin Turbo hard piping kit. This goes from the back of both AFM's and deletes the stock rubber piping. Condition: Fine. A quick polish and it will look good as new. Price: $300 4 Item: Hypertune airbox and Titanium lobster back intake pipe with K&N pod filter (RF 1015). This was made with a combination of a 6 boost exhaust manifold, Borg Warner EFR 8374 (9180 will fit also) and an R33 GTR. Condition: Perfect. It was made and i've decided to change it. Engine has not run with this setup on it. Price: $1,000 This photo is of a mates car. Box is identical but he just had allow piping done. I have shown this photo as it gives a better indication of how it all sits. 5 Item: Nismo gearbox mount. Condition: Fine. Used for approx 10,000 kms. Price:$50 Price: 6 Item: Haltech EGT sensors and bungs. Condition: Brand new. One packet was opened for photo purposes only. Price: $600 7 Item: Holley Dominator 12-1800 fuel pump Condition: Fine. It came off GTR NUR's R34 GTR. It was used for one dyno session and was in the car for approx 2 weeks. I would have used it but I changed how I wanted to layout the fuel system. I am currently in the process of pricing up and converting my car to e85, and with so many rumours, myths and misinformation I just wanted to get a few things straightened out before I go ahead and fully convert to e85. My current build: I am unsure of the brand of my intank pump, but I am making 450rwhp on pump 98. 1000cc ev14 injectors, turbosmart 1200 fpr. Short term goals: After conversion to e85, aiming for 500rwhp. Long term goals: Building up a 25/30 with a power goal of 650rwhp on e85. What I am thinking of running: Using my intank pump as a lift pump, feeding a surge tank (2-3L), then twin bosch 044 pumps feeding my rail through a -8an line. Using something along the lines of ( http://www.aftermarketindustries.com.au/surge-tank-kits--accessories-c1/surge-tank-kit-spr044-p241/) as the tank/pump setup. Obviously I will be getting new lines made up with speedflow fittings. My questions are: (sorry, some may sound stupid. I may have the correct answers, but due to misinformation from many sources I would like to be sure) Can I use my standard fuel tank, or does it need to be anodized? I have heard bosch 044 pumps hate e85 and break down after 100/500 hours. How true is this? Will the setup I mentioned above be enough to support my power goal and flow requirements? Should I upgrade my lift pump as well? Is the single -8an line going to provide enough flow? Is there anything else I am missing or is required? I work FIFO (fly in fly out, 2 weeks on/1 week off) so I only get the chance to drive my car 1 week out of every 3. So the car spends a lot of time just sitting at home, and when I am home I barely go through a tank of pump 98 (maybe drive 100-200 kms, with the exception being if I have track/skidpan days). Will the fuel go bad if I leave it sitting for too long? Would it be better to fill up before I leave or the day I get back? Cheers for any help fellas!
