I don't really contribute hear at all but I need an opinion. I've had a RB30/Neo 3.4 Stroker built at a workshop. Whilst at the workshop the shop relocated. The mechanic wanted me to pay a towing fee between his old and new workshop, I did although didn't think it was fair. Then he got in trouble for having too many cars at his new workshop so he had it moved to my house whilst the engine was being built, I paid towing once again. And now the engine is back in and the piping work needs to be done. He has it being towed to some other workshop to be done and wants me to pay towing again. Towing too and from $70 each time! I don't think this is right/fair. What do you think? What should I say or do?

Looking for a tow bar for my 1999 R34 Skyline GT Coupe (and before anyone says not to, it's my daily and I need to tow my track bike). I've been quoted a pretty high price to get one custom made, so I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone has an existing one fitted to their car that they no longer want to try and save a bit of money. If you have one available or know of any places that could potentially make and fit one for me, please let me know!

Hi SAU, Need your opinions. Shopping around for a small to medium SUV for the Mrs, she prefers to be higher up, and we also need space for future kids. Our range is around 12 to 15k, but happy to stretch the budget if the vehicle is good. I'll be doing all the general maintenance and upkeep, so highish (circa 200,000km) milage isn't really an issue, obviously the lower the milage the better. What we are looking for: - Little higher than a normal car's ride height. - Preference to a diesel, but not overly fussed if the vehicle is right. - Decent on fuel. - Must be automatic. - AWD, for boat ramps and regular snow trips. - Safe - Reliable - Not older than early 2000s - Must be capable of towing a small trailer/boat/jet ski. - Easy to use around town ie. parking I've been looking around and have come across two very polarising cars, that we seem to like - but not dead set on. Mercedes ML270 5cyl diesel and Toyota Caldina ST-246. Not in a major rush as she is still learning to drive. Planning to buy in roughly 12 to 14 months - this gives her time to learn and for us to save up and prices to come down. Open to everyone's suggestions. Cheers

2001 VX Commodore wagon, have owned for a couple years and in that time have gone through and upgraded parts to make it a reliable tow car! Car is also DUEL FUEL so cheap as chips to run (costs about the same as a 4 cylinder hatch) Heavy duty tow ball (cost $550) 6 month old rotors and pads (cost $400) new rear shockers and springs (cost $400) new air bags in the rear for towing (cost $275) recently replaced thermostat and intake pipe. Tyres still have at least 75% tread! still around 9 months rego left! Car is also on GAS...cheap!! Have used this car over 15 times for towing car/trailer and she has been extremely reliable (including interstate trips). Car does have some paint fade on the bonnet and also some small dents on one side (nothing serious). $4700 ONO Ryan-0413804117
