Hi guys. I saw many threads about this similar problem, but the diffrence with them all is the fact that mine does the sound only when it gets warm instead of cold. It sounds like someone was holding a small zip-tie against a fastly spinning bycycle wheel spokes. has sort of "plastic" sound to it, so it's not the lifters. I can hear it when it idles but when driving normally, other noises kill it. It can be heard in the car when accelerating harder. It appears to be coming from driver side of the engine. To me it feels like its coming from the side of the engine, but there's nothing there to be causing this? It'ts not injector tick, as that can be heard separately. I tried describing my issue as detailed as i could, hopefully someone has a clue. Something simple to check before i start pulling major things apart? Thank you.

Hey guys hoping I can make this quick and easy and get my car running to it's full potential. I've got a 1993 r32 manual, turbo, rb20, has basic starter mods as in intercooler and exhaust, coil packs. When i turn the ignition and start her up she will start very well, idles around 900rpm. As soon as she hits running temperature she runs like a complete pig, idle goes from 900-300 and is constantly jumping from one to the other. I took off the auxiliary air control valve, cleaned her out and still doing it. Has aftermarket coil packs but not sure on brand (they're purple?) but haven't tested them yet, going to check my spark plugs this week also. I put new silicon vacuum lines on and hopefully got them all. Air flow meter had a hole in the mesh but not sure if that'll make a difference, so i just bought a new one which i'm about to chuck on after i spray it with some contact spray. Please help, driving me insane, just want to drive her again.

I've been reading through a bunch of threads with similar issues yet nothing that directly relates so far. If have a BNR32 GT-R and it's been a long cold winter here in Melbourne and the car felt like it was running fine and smooth the whole time. As there's been few warm days recently its been causing the car the run with rough idles and almost stalling at times. It will only happen if its on a warm day of more than 20 degrees. I've also noticed that the engine check light will flash at times and then be ok again but other than that car will boost ok and give off consistent power. So far I've read that it could be one of the vacuum lines in the plenum or the timing itself. My guess is that it could be the AFM's or sparkplugs. I am running stock AFM's with an ARC Airbox. I also took it to be Dyno tested to see if the issue could be replicated but they found nothing aside from it running slightly hotter than usual after load. I am running an aftermarket radiator as well. However it was fairly cold day so it may have been easily spotted. Was wondering if anyone else has had experiences with this and any suggestions would be appreciated!
