Hi everyone. I took my sons 25GTt fo a wheel alignment today.. Unfortunately it could not be done due to worn wheel bearings.I have new bearings on the way. Questions: Has anyone replaced front wheel bearings? Is there any literature on how to change them? Can the front bearings be regressed as a temp measure? My experience is with early ford and holden tapered bearings, these jdm cars are a whole new ballgame. Appreciate any advice and push in the right direction..

hey all. been trynna tidy up some sketchy mods so kindly left hidden by the previous owner like Easter eggs inside my baby. since ive had the car ive had no working horn. the steering wheel is after market and the boss kit seems to have no brand name on it at all. as far as i can tell the hicas is hooked up well enough (when i take out the hicas fuse the car's steering goes floaty, so it must be working, right?) but no wires had been fed through the boss kit to to horn button. i must note that the boss kit has quite a solid body so i cant see through it like some of the framed ones. it just seems to to sit over a thin black plastic plate(?) and connects into the box which holds the indicator and wiper stalks. my two main issues are this... i can not find the horn wire and am struggling to find a straight-forward answer to which colored wire is the horns and where it either comes from or goes to. being a previously molested car, the wiring behind the wheel and in the footwell have seen better days and in some spots it seems wires have been cut and soldered back onto themselves.. ive been tinkiering with the green and red striped wire that has had one end soldered back to either itself or a ground wire, and am starting to think its been hardwired off out of convenience when the boss kit was installed. but if its not the horn wire then im wasting my time. ive tried to look at pics of the column after the wheels been removed to try and find clues of what plugs and wires need my attention, but it all looks different because mine is all covered up by the boss kit which leads me to my second problem, i cant remove the boss for the life of me. and because i cant get a good look between the kit and the column, i cant tell which parts im supposed to pull and which parts im not. i dont wanna keep trying to tug if the boss kit is hardwired on(if that's a thing) and im also kinda scared that all my pulling and prying might damage that yellow round thing that's exposed when the wheel's off (seen it in pics and have been told its important and not to funk with it)... but since i cant remove or look past my boss kit, im not sure what side of the stalks it's on.. from my perspective it looks like the thin plastic plate between the stalks and the boss kit are apart of the boss kit that needs removing but im pretty sure the boss kit should be solid metal, and all that is plastic stays on the car. the thin plastic plate looks like it wiggles and doest quite sit flush in either direction. if anyone has any advice on how to identify the horn wire after some mild molestation, or any info on different boss kits that might shine light on mine (hardwired or cheapo brands with strange plastic bits?) or if someone has any pics of what the column and wires would look like stock so i can work backwards from the molestation. or even if someone has a side on pic of an installed boss kit so i can see what it consists of when attached and what parts should and shouldnt move when trying to remove the boss kit. a wiring diagram would also be helpful. sorry about the big write up over something small but i feel like it should be easier than this, and its only being made harder by a stubborn boss kit that cant be moved or looked past. it just looks so very different from other boss kits, it doesn't even appear to have anywhere to feed the wires through unless you cut the clips and feed through the small gap between the boss and thin plastic plate, which is a good solution but dosnt seem like the original intention. thanks in advance for any help that may come my way. my car is a 93 r33 gts25t s1. i have poor internet connection and no working camera on my phone so i may be slow to reply but please bare with me, and i'll find a way to take photos and upload them as needed.

Hey there guys. I’ve purchased some rims for my R34 GTT and think I may have gone too aggressive on the fitment. The fronts are 18x9 18p which i imagine should be ok, But i got 18x10 18p for the rear. Am I dreaming to fit a 255 tyre on those over the rear with stock guards? I’ve rolled the inner lips in but dont want to do a pump, and can’t do stretched tyres currently as I need to certify the wheels. Am I going to be able to get these to fit full stop or am I dreaming? Thanks

Fun story. I took the stagea down the south coast of NSW for some shows (I play in a band) had a great weekend and at the end decided we'd drive home (sydney) in the middle of the night rather than sleep in the car.... long story short: turns out throughout the course of the weekend someone tried to steal my wheels but failed and left the bolts loose so driving down the hwy at 100kmh (luckily not more) my passenger side rear wheels comes off, slamming to the ground and sliding to a halt and only just managing to get it off the highway. Luckily managed to get away with only damaged wheels and two snapped wheel studs, could've been worse. Moral of the story (tl;dr). Never trust anyone. Also if anyone has any suggestions of things I should get checked over once I get it back from the mechanic that would be great? As far as I can tell I got lucky and none of the body work or exhaust or anything hit the ground as the rotor fell into the wheel rim and the weight in the back (a lot) kept it within the wheel arch so brakes are my main concern I guess?

Hi Guys, Does anyone happen to know the stock wheel stud dimensions/sizing/etc for an 2003 M35? Is it shared with a V35 or anything else? I'm dealing with a typical no hoper mechanic who is too lazy to just check the bloody thing for himself and don't really want to leave it up to him to work it out or I might be waiting weeks. Any help would be amazing!

Hi guys, All these parts were destined to go into my R33 but sadly I sold a few weeks ago and have no need for these parts anymore. All prices are what I paid, not looking to make any money off this stuff. 1. R33 GTS-T full brake kit - Includes all stock Calipers, pads, rotors, brake lines, hubs and front knuckles. Been sitting around for a while, rotors may need a good hard drive or maybe machined to get the surface rust off. Good for brake upgrade on N/a R33, gives you 5 studs too. Or good for R32 gtst brake upgrade. Asking $800 2. R33 Dash with passenger airbag included - Mint condition. Includes passenger airbag and control unit (not sure if it's required if your car already has a drivers airbag). Asking $220 3. R33 S2 Steering wheel - Mint condition, could do with a clean. Missing a bolt on the side to hold the front panel on, and also missing both plastic covers on each side hiding the bolts (See photos). Has red stitching around the inside of the wheel, so I think it may be from a GTR33? Paid $200, probably paid a bit much though. Asking $150 Open to reasonable offers, but I think these prices are fair. May be able to help with delivery within sydney for a small fee (to cover petrol) if I can find the time. Located inner west of Sydney, inspections are welcome.

Hi, I’m having an issue with my 2003 V35 skyline. I have only recently had some new tyres put on the car as the previous tyres were on the way out. While they were getting fitted I was told that the front passenger side wheel has a noisy bearing. Driving it around now there is a significant amount of road noise coming from that particular wheel. The other thing I have noticed is when I turn a corner left, the noise disappears, when I turn right the noise changes to a sort of rotating "whummmmp whuumppp" (I guess?) type noise...this particular noise seems to come from everywhere. While the new tyres were being fitted the guys there said I have a very noisy wheel bearing on the passenger front wheel. Could that explain the excessive road noise? Secondly in regards to the other tyres could it be the wheel alignment that is out? I had one done when the tyres were fitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Guys Genuine 17x8 Work CR KAIs, came off my R34 and suit any 5stud Nissan or other models that have the PCD pattern 5x114.3 and offset is +32. Would sit nicely on most skylines, 200's and silvias. $700 am prepared to post them. Should be around $20 a wheel to Melbourne and can be freighted to Sydney for about $60 through E-go. (I'm located on the gold coast) They have Jinyu sport radials 225/45/17 and are easily 90% tread on all 4. Please note the wheels themselves have some gutter rash from age, keep this in mind when purchasing or see photos for details (I added the one with the worst so you know what to expect). A machine on the lip would make them near new again. I had them balanced and they are perfectly ok to use, no buckles etc. Original white in colour, could do with a clean! Any questions etc please feel free to call or text me on 0433025530 Cheers Geoff

Hi there, I tried searching the forum for this but mostly came up with GTR brembos. I am looking to fit EVO 8 brembos and they are massive on a GTR R32 and I am in the market shortly for some new rims. I currently have BBS LM's 17 X 9 and there is no way the EVO 8 brembos will fit. Has anyone fitted EVO 8 brembos on their R32 GTR? What size wheels and offset would i require to fit EVO 8 brembos? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all, Up for grabs is a set of 4x R34 GTR wheels which measure 18x9 +30 all round, and are currently wrapped in 245/40 Advan AD08 tyres. These wheels are not like other GTR wheels I've had before, these are in the less common colour which I am lead to believe came out in the Nur spec 34 GTRs? Anyway, it is the set to the left which are for sale. They have the usual gutter rash on each wheel as can be seen in the photo below. Wheels will come with their centre caps. The wheels are located in the south east suburbs of Melbourne and I would rather a local sale at this stage unless you can arrange your own postage. I am after $1500 for the set. I'd be keen for swaps, but they must be 18s and 9" wide minimum. Contact is best made through PM or by posting here. Thanks, Adam
