  1. Hello all, I just bought a 1991 R32 GTS-t bone stock (minus a new cat back exhaust and hks instake) two weeks ago, with no issues other than a crap hicas (getting deleted very soon). The car has started without any issue whatsoever and ran perfectly for these past two weeks until today. I was going for a drive with some friends who were on their bikes and we pulled into a gas station so they could fill up (like 5 min into the drive) and I turned the car off to wait. Went to start it and all lights and power worked, turned the key all the way to start, and nothing. Only a click from the clock area and the red hot cat light lit up a lil brighter. No starter, no starter click, just a turned key and acc (radio, toll card reader, and clock dimming) would shut off until I turned the key back to it's regular 'on' position. I had the biker boys go get a new 30A block fuse (one that goes under the hood) because it looked like it might have burnt out... 15min later and we put a new one in, turned the car on, and vroom it was all good. Went for the drive, no issues, about 30min later we stopped by the beach to take a few pictures. Turned off the car, went to start it 3min later and same issue. No starting at all, and same reset of the acc. Started looking at everything we could there, still looked good, started looking up any info on my phone and only found the classic "turns over but doesn't run". No one with my issue from what I could find. While on my phone searching, I decided "heck it, I'll try to start it again why not" and it started right up with no issues. Decided to go straight home to try to figure it out. Got home just fine and turned it off, then back on and it was fine. Turned it off and tried again but nothing, same issue as before. We checked every fuse we could find (under steering area and hood), none had any issues at all. Took off the steering area plastics to get to the ignition switch, and saw that the brown base was slightly loose, although the screw was very tight. Tried to get the screw out but no luck, so we tried starting it again and it started right up. Turned it back off and tried it again, nothing. Same issue as before. At this point I have no idea where else to look, or how to get the ignition switch out. It's a saturday right now and I have a mechanic who's really good with odd cars and I plan on bringing it to him monday. I'm open to suggestions on what to look for or try. I have yet to look at the relays by the fuses but that's the only other thing I can think of. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them because I have no idea. Battery is also new and tested good. Thank you in advance!
  2. While driving home from work, my R32 died. Dash lights lit up and it stalled. It fired back up and then died again a few seconds later. No crazy sounds. The weird thing is that the dash lights and radio lights turn on when you head light knob, but nothing else turns on. If you try and start it, nothing happens. No clicking, no fuel pump priming, nothing. This happened once about 6 months ago and I took it to a mate in town to check it out. It fired right up for him and the problem couldn't be duplicated. Couldn't make it stall again. I feel like it's an electrical issue somewhere, but unsure where to start other than fuses. The clock has always been intermittent since I have owned the car. It comes on when first started, but eventually just turns off. This morning, it came on and off 4 or 5 times which lead me to believe something was up. This evening is when the issues started. The car also has a "flicker" issue that I have always noticed. The headlights will flicker every 5-30 seconds, but there is no consistency to it. My wife doesn't see it, but it's obvious to me. Has anyone had a similar issues? I've searched and found issues w/fuel pumps, alternators, batteries, etc. The big thing that seems different is that with all these issues, the car at least tries to turn over. Wondering if it's some random ground wire somewhere.
  3. Hey SAU'ers, I need some help My R33 gtst wont start or even crank. I just get a clicking sound. My internet searches suggest it maybe a faulty immobiliser, alternator, or battery ? I haven't driven it in a few weeks so I checked the battery it was 10.25v will check alternator but If anyone has had this problem or have any suggestions Would be very helpful
  4. hey folks. Can someone tell me please where i can locate the fuel pump relay on my 1998 r34 gtt skyline. My cars up for sale, i've been away working for 4 weeks, came home to get the car runnning and sell it and the battery's ran completely flat and wouldnt take a jump start or any charge when hooked up to a car. I replaced teh battery, but the car woulndt event start or ignition turn on. i figured i'd blown a fuse?? I checked teh fuse box under teh bonnet and yes i 'd blown the 80AMP Altenator Fuse. So off to shops i went and bought one. I fited it with battery disconnected, hooked the battery up again, tried starting it but the engine wont fire up. Plenty of ooomfff in teh starter and battery but it s like its not getting fuel. I cant hear teh fuel pump in teh boot wizz up when i turn the ignition on, i checked the fuses in the drivers foot well, they all looked ok, including the 15amp fuel pump fuse, i checked it has 12v either side also. I removed the fuel hose after the filter in teh engine bay and turned teh engine over, alas, no fuel coming through. now i know its a fuel problem. Now i'm trying to find where to locate the standard fuel pump relay to see if it's that. Can anyone tell me where i can find it and also if anyone has any other ideas on how to get her started id be very gratefull as i have 3 guys coming tonight to look at the car and it not being able to start is guna kill me. also, should i be removing teh back seats and that little pannel which gives you access ontop of teh fuel tank to check for anything?? Getting in from teh boot is impossible as i have a custom $8k sound system installed lol, cheers Gav greatly appreciate a text with advice 0422817158
  5. R33 GTST wont start with Haltech ECU Hey there, So i'm new to this forum and i did some looking around to see if i could find anything similar to my problem and there were a couple but not 100%. Anyways the problem i'm having is i bought a haltech platinum sport 2000 (the plug n play) and i installed it simple enough. While i was doing this i also installed some nismo 555cc injectors. The base map that comes with the ecu is set for the stock injectors. now after adjusting the fuel map the car wont start i tried messing around with some of the other setting to see if I could find anything wrong but to no solution it will crank but its only cranking around 150-200 rpm. I'm getting fuel i even tried using some starter fluid to see if that was my issue but nothing . i'm pretty sure that my timing is off but i'm not certain if anyone would be kind enough to supply me with a map for the injectors i have or if anyone wouldn't mind looking at my map to see if they can find something wrong with it i would eternally grateful.

RB26 wont start So, one of my mates went to put my key in my car and instead of leaving it in the center console he put it in the ignition and turned it on so the fuel pump kicked on and stayed on till the battery died. I charged it up and tried cranking it over, still nothing. I took out the spark plugs and verifed that it is 100% getting fuel. Changed spark plugs and tried a ignitor. Still wont even attempt to start.
  7. Hi guys, have a problem with my R33. First it started cutting out on me, just died and then started straight away. Now Starts very rough and wont stay on. Could be petrol pump or something electrical? Thanks for any tips or advice, Chris

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out, I have installed bigger injectors over my stock injectors because most of them were leaking in some form or another into my 93 r32 Gtr, this part was fairly easy. I have installed a nistune ecu into my car as well and intended on just using the 'resize injectors' operation, I did this and initially left all 3 adjust options ticked and then simply uploaded and burned to the eprom. The car then wouldnt start firing. I have only just began using nistune and the software and I was wondering if have done something wrong, if I am only changing the injector size do I tick those 'adjust' options or untick them? I did restore the ecu to the default rom that comes with nistune and it started firing, so my adjustment be wrong with the resizing operation. Anyone know how to fix this or the procedure to resize injectors for a r32 gtr?
