why don't they make cars that don't speed compulsory? jesus. they market and make cars to go faster every month and yet there are people saying don't speed? surely there are more pressing social issues than the relative few dying on the roads.

i think if people want to speed than let them and educate the slow monkies who sit in the right lane to get out. i think it's been tried but obviously "they" wern't watching TV at the time

perhaps we should all just go back to riding bikes?

Well europes autobahn does alright and no speed limit on there!!

They just need to chose more carefully who they give licenses too - its amazing how many people out there that just cant drive haha like my taxi driver the other night!!

They will never make speed limited cars, where will governments get the money from to fund bell towers?

Driver education and people keeping their cars in a roadworthy condition are the main problems as i see it. Just look around you at a set of lights and spot how many cars have bald tyres? I spotted 6 this week!

Speeding gets blamed for everything. If theres a guy on a country road whos stoned, pissed and not wearing a seatbelt whilst doing 170km/h. Guess which one of those factors is stated as the cause for the statistics?

Notice how they reduce the speed limit to 50km/h in built up areas and the pedestrian accident rate and number of road deaths goes up each year. Surely this points to driver education as being the root of the problem?
