mite take u bought half a day.. ur gunna need a 27mm socket and breaker bar (as u mite need to use heavy force on the bolt which may break a rachet)..

take out ur radiator, radiator pipes, take off all ur belts, then ur timing belt covers and so on..

now.. to get the harmonic balancer off..

its probly best to use a nylon hammer or rubber mallet and hit the harmonic balancer (bottom pully) a couple hard times side to side.. till it becomes loose and can either be pulled off or falls off... or use a purpose built puller..

newayz

place motor on TDC and remove timing belt, then the water pump.. it should only be held in buy a couple of little bolts..replace water pump with working pump and i personally would put silicon on both sides of the gasket.. to prevent doing all this work again..

replace all parts and put shit back together.. if u know how shit goes then it shouldnt take u long.. it jus looks like a big job cos u gotta take out quite alot of stuff...

thats my imput newayz... good luck!!

All this advice sounds about right but the water pump itself has 10 bolts on it. There are two different size bolt heads.

I'm just in the process of putting my motor back together after a complete rebuild and just put the waterpump back on.

Obviously, you'll need another gasket for your water pump before you put the new one back on.

The water pumps aren't expensive to buy. When I went to Nissan, I got the water pump and thermostat for about 70-80...

Why you replacing it?
