Hi all...

How much trans fluid does the 5 speed manual for the RB25DET hold??

I just don't want to buy too much as it's damn expensive!

I put 5L into the RB26 gearbox, which is about the same?

I hear your pain re expensive. The fluid is about 1,000km old but the gearbox needs to come out next week, can you reuse the fluid?

I put 3.7L into my RB26 gearbox last week before it started overflowing and about 3.5-3.7L into my RB25 gearbox last year.

1x bottle of Redline Shockproof (~$115) will be just fine for you.

you can re-use the fluid no problem. but if you are spending dough on the box, i would put new stuff in. yes 1 big bottle will be fine I think they are around 4 litres.

I've spent almost all day ringing around trying to sort out what to do with my stuffed gearbox The guy I'd like to use will only do a rebuild, one guy doesn't seem to want the business, and another guy says he would just end up sending it out to a specialist like the first guy! :angry

I'm hoping to find somewhere that will do an exchange. Need it fixed fast cause I'm running out of DIY holiday time
