I got them in there in the end, but for all the hassle, I would recommend you just put in some 5" drivers - unless of course I am the only one to have such problems, I could be wrong. Has anyone else done this? and how difficult did you find the placement? I made up some pods to fit in the original location and built the speaker mount on an angle to fit behind the stock grille and clear the glass. i can scan in the templates for the bracket if anyone is keen to have a go :O oh and it sounds great btw, doing it yourself is so rewarding - sounds twice as good :P

Hmm, I have been having a bit of a look, and I think my woofers are just really quite deep is why I had so much trouble... they are the Jaycar - response kevlar splits, mabey taking a ruler out and doing some reaserch would have saved me some frustrations :worship:
