Info on "White Lightning" Celica?

This is a little off topic, but can anyone tell me anything about the white lightning series Celica?? 1989 I think.

Someone told me that there were only 300 ever made. Is this BS?

What's so different/special about them?

From what I recall the differences between the "White Lighting" Celica and the normal SX Celica are:

- Sports Seats (same as in first GT4)

- Cruise Control on Auto model

- All white exterier

- Graphic Equaliser

As far as I know no mods to engine/suspension......

I've been looking at one of these "White Lightning" '89 celicas ('cause a skyline is way out of my reach... for now at least).

Flawless body - I couldn't find anything wrong with it (It looks like it came out of the factory only a year or so ago),

Interior is very very clean.

all for about $8000 with 1 week rego left

Would this car hold it's value 'cause it's a limited edition (300 ever made)?

My girlfriend picked up a 89 celica sx auto wif sunroof for 6k. 8 is a little high. Even though it's limited edition it won't hold value. Look at WRX's and their limited edition. Stickers with special mats but is it worth the extra $?

Yeah.. it drive beautifully.. no problems mechanically.

I gotta run.. going for my 3rd test drive right now!

I used to have a 88 model SX....they are a great car....sweet engine....never had any problems with it...

Check the sunroof for rust

Well... I checked it over for rust and there was none... so guess what?! I bought it!
