yeah, i'm from liverpool in sydney. i came down to canberra saturday evening with my mate. (i've been to canberra the past 3 weekends). i thought that i'd head back with you canberra skyliners, and then back to sydney with the sydney mob.

and yes, i hear you guys saying CANBERRA??? 3 weekends in a row?? well, i actually like the place. nice and laid back. and for some reason, i am sure the VB down there has a little bit of a different taste to sydney! i think i've spent more time in canberra drunk than i have sober! I will be down in a couple of weeks again, so perhaps we can catch up then.

cheers, MARK

mate, you'd soon change your mind if you were single. the girls are very friendly in canberra. well, that's my experience anyway. somewhat more friendlier than the sydney chicks!

i think it's due to the fact that all the guys in canberra are busy bashing off to all that porn they have and the girls would jump at anything from a different state.

j/k

got a bit bored there on a saturday morning, so a chick down there took me to fyshwick to have a look at the shops. i've only ever been to a few, but canberra's shops weren't any better than sydney's shops! so i dunno what all the hype is about!

cheers, MARK

nice photos ryan. getting better biarch

yeah some of the ones that came out crappy was because

a) the suspension in the car is hard as hell and its hard to take photos whilst you're getting thrown everywhere

and

B) because them sony's are a bit slow to take pics on the move!

that's not gonna stop me from buying one tho :)

i've decided,

Sony DSCP51 with 128mb Memory Stick, extra batteries, tripod and carry case for $1070.. Not a bad package for around $1k i think.

Looks like I'm a little behind with the posts... (you must be getting sick of hearing this :D ) But thanks again to Shell and everyone else who had a hand in organising the trip.

We need to have a lot more outings like this.

It was great to meet so many people that are so enthusiastic about Skylines...its a shame we didn't have more time as I only got to talk to a few of you (guess I'll have to wait till the next one...)

I've got a bunch of pics too, and if I manage to sort out my web site, I'll post them up.

BTW Mark, I've seen a couple R31's getting around down here.

I met a guy last year who owns a really nice black 2 door with an RB20DET in it....very nice.

Last I saw it, it was for sale too.

Also, me and Jay just bought a couple handhelds, so that should help with our sense of direction next time :)

Anyhow, that's enough from me...

jus got back from syd, sorry I couldn't make the cruise, went out to Mocha the night before and well... was in no condition to drive the next day :) But it looks like y'all had some good fun.

I'll be with all ya sydney folks at 10:30 at Homebush parking. Hopfully a couple of my other skyline friends will be joining us.  :D

Hope to see ya all there. Anyone have a rough idea on numbers?

Hey Ben, Are you still sad that I beat you 3 times with My Rex.

hehe how'd you dig this baby up?!

 I typed in his name of Coxy in the search and it came up with some posts he did.

He has a R34 GTST and I've got a MY00 WRX. And I just love reminding him that I beat him. :D I was hoping to get a reation; but it looks like he doesn't get on this forum much.

    • It was roughly 3.5 hours.    car went in around 11:00 and I was done around 2:30 He did the initial runs, install the BC and then Nistune install and tune.  The best part was sitting in the lobby and hearing the skyline on full throttle at the dyno 😂😂
    • Glad it all went smooth. How long did the tuning process take?
    • Yeah that was kind of the same feedback my tuner gave me.  the boost tee is until I can sort out my plan for the electronic boost controller and what I’d get, where I’d mount the dash etc.  I’m happy with this until I can figure it out. Not a big fan of the A-pillar gauges. I’d like to get a clean install of the boost gauge - something digital like GFB.  Something like that might fit neatly where the ashtray is and look clean. I feel like replacing the OEM triple gauge is a bit extreme for a weekender like my skyline. And it’s not making crazy power to need all the additional sensors/gauges.
    • I'm about to swap my box to Tremec T56 Magnum F & initially thinking of re-using my DCS twin plate (can get it re centred for the bigger spline) but it's been called out the box will be noisy (rattle) as the clutch is unsprung.  So I'm doing as much research as possible. I'm not so worried about holding the power as I'll go the track version which on paper will hold the maybe 1000hp I make. It's the longevity I worry about. DCS told me they don't use a sprung centre as it's just something that can break. The uni clutch has a very complicated sprung centre. Any one had or heard about any issues with it failing? Thanks in advance.
    • Auto is at least 10% (from my real, actual experience with different torque converters and manual on the same setup) ~185rwkw at 11.6psi (peak!) is entirely what one would expect without a FMIC or anything else on the intake, it does bleed off towards the higher RPM so it's what, 9psi there? Note: There is nothing that can be done about this with a manual boost tee. If you want to hold it steady and gain more top end, well - You will need electronic boost control.....
