The fastest ive been in the Stagea on a private road is 170km/h speedo km/h, but havnt been at/over 180km/h. Are we limited at 180km/h like other Japanese cars?

Probably people that have taken their cars to the drags would be best to reply as 180 is about 108mph, but i doubt anyones done a high 11/low 12 second pass with that trap speed.

Mine (wifes now) has one. We have open speed limits up here. It actually cuts in at around the 190 mark, the 260 has the same problem. Power FC is being tuned on Wednesday so I will let you know how it goes.

Cheers,

Ken

Never been that fast in a car before, private road or not. But on a bike, well, hehehehe, actually, no comment! =)

Never been over 180 in a car! Surely not! That's still in third gear!

Though the advantage I have is that I've spent a lot of time in countries with different speed (ie revenue) restrictions than Aus, plus cars are cheaper too...

Not in Aus, but I've turned the cruise control on at 220kmh and sat back and relaxed as I hummed down the highway! Also been over 300kmh a few times, but never managed to get it over 305kmh (car should have been able to do 320, but I'd put too much fuel in it so it was a bit heavy :-(...) :-)

Anyway, back on topic, yes the stageas all have the speed limiter unless there has been a remap/daughterboard or change of ECU. You shouldn't be able to get it much faster than 190.

    • You have the option to do this. Nobody but me ever did this (go slower, I mean) Everyone seems to fall victim to "This would be a great setup for you, but for me, I need a little more power..."

    • There's a post from a member (can't recall who), went down the path of a twin scroll G30-660 and it's doing over 300kW+ AND comes on about the same as a high flow RB25DET turbo. Have your cake and eat it too in this case. TBH, if I had a 2nd chance of building my car again (i.e. someone gave me what I wanted for my shit box, but the deal was I had to re-build another R33 and keep the change) I would just pop in a stock NEO motor (with new seals, rod bearings, ARP studs, head gasket, sump, Nitto pump), get a smaller twin scroll turbo, modify the stock low mount (keep the divider in place), and make a solid 300kW on 98RON and call it a day.
