funkymonkey
jus wondering if the loom is the same, can i put the motor in, plug up the loom, put in the rb20 ecu n drive away, or is there differences looms are different, as are ancillaries and sensors. For example the injectors and PTU all need to be rewired. You'd be better off sourcing a second RB25DET. R31Nismoid
he said it would be better getting another RB25 as in, its not worth bothing with an RB20 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/101038-i-have-a-rb25det-but-want-to-put-in-rb20det/#findComment-1844269 Share on other sites
DRFT 14
Personally, i think by the time you get the RB20 running properly you would have spent nearly enough for another 25. You already have everything on the 25, just get another RB25 block (and head if its not in good condition) and swap it. Thats the most cost effective alternative. Dont downgrade man, never take a step back i say. RU34ME
yeah i know but im considering a ijzgte conversion in d 180 and swap all d gear off my rb onto my r33 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/101038-i-have-a-rb25det-but-want-to-put-in-rb20det/#findComment-1844683 Share on other sites

By the time you're done f**kin around with the wiring and the parts to fit the RB20 your $1000 saving will have dissapeared, so you're better off just buying a bare RB25 (as you should have the throttle body and manifolds already) and simply dropping it in. If there's no engine in the R33 right now then put the 1JZ in there... just for shits n giggles Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/101038-i-have-a-rb25det-but-want-to-put-in-rb20det/#findComment-1845041 Share on other sites
