R33 S2 Front Grill

Ok, I thought all R33 S2 grills were the same, but it appears not:

Check out the engine bay pic in the bottom gallery, grill has mesh and an "S" badge. Is this standard, or wot?

That's definitely a factory grill; the one on my girlfriend’s car is exactly the same.

Mine doesn't have the mesh grill - it's just got a plastic trapezoidal shape that fits in where it is..

however - I have a factory option front bar..alot of grills are the same as mine.. e.g. no mesh - nissan silver "S" on the bonnet..

Yeah, mine is like that too which is why I asked. It's got a couple of cracks in it, so I would like to replace it and not sure which version would look better.

Its a series 2 - check out the headlights.

The lamps are open style as opposed the series 1/1.5 which are covered by another piece of lens.

Maybe it's a SII with a S1.5 grill fitted..

the "SIII" R33 on that site doesn't have Xenon lights.. mine was one of the ones made in 1998 - and haven't seen any others with xenons..

I just dredged up an old post that says it was a "factory option" on Series 2's, which explains why only some have it.

Yeah it is a nismo option grill for series 2's.

I have recently seen an R32 GTR style grill.

yeah nismo option or something from what i was told when almost buying 1 from japan that had it...

to be honest, i dont like it. much prefer the stock s2 grill
