What did you hook the power cable up to?

i hooked up 12v batt to the batt wire

and acc wire to the acc wire...

and of course ground to ground

my car started ok this morning so it hasnt drained my battery .......YET! =S

please any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,

- Ross.

you could always get a multi meter and check how much current and voltage the clock is useing when the car is off and tell us what the readings are and then i can tell you if its to much

There will only be just enough power going to it to just run the clock. There is no way it will use enough power to drain your battery. Most head units will keep a small amount of power going to it so you can eject the cd while the car is off...

Yep, there is always a little power there so that the standard clock keeps the time, the A/C keeps the settings, and your headunit doesn' lose it's settings and radio station presets etc. The LCD clock will use jack all power, but it might no be too good for keeping theives uninterested.

A bright LED informing the would-be theives of your alarm system would be a great deterant, while not draining much power at all either. Mine is as bright as bright can be, you can see it flashing a mile away!
