[non skyline] Carby vs EFi

Recommended Posts

Ok I dont have a skyline but you say all cars welcome and i hope you welcome me :D

I have a 1989 Honda Civic which is Dual CV Carbs.. Now I am slowly doing it up and I am faced with two possibilities,,

number 1) Put 2 high performance carbies on it

number 2) Save up even [i dont like doing] and put a VTEC dohc engine in it which means changing over heaps of other shit...

and for all you people that are going to say sell it and buy a skyline.. I'm not going to do this not because I dislike skylines but the Civic I have is in absolute A1 mint condition and I love it.

ALSO The one reason I would want to change to EFi is so that I can put a turbo in it... I am at the understanding that it is pointless putting a turbo in a carby engine... True or false?

Thanks again

Go the VTEC motor. More modern and you'll love the VTEC scream. Don't bother turbocharging it cause then your spending big bucks and you may as well buy a car with a turbo. By doing that you save the headaches and time associated with it.
