Red And Yellow Water Temp Sensor

Hi,

I broke my water temp sensor the other day on my R32 RB20. It is the sensor on the piece where the top radiator hose joins the engine. It was yellow. I bought another sensor which I am told is from a later model Skyline. It is red. Does anyone know if these are intergangeable?

I used a sensor off an R32 RB25DE that was red, my origional was yellow, appears to work fine. Temp readings via pfc are fine.

It also looks as if the VL/R31's run the same sensor.

the sensors are the same, they read the same scales just diffrent plugs or coloured plugs.

im using one from a z32 tt as rb parts arnt common here stateside.
