What Mods For Engine Reliability In Wrx?

hey gettting a my99/00 and looking to tune the engine so its more reliable and breathe better. i was thinkin 3in from turbo with down pipe, filter, intercooler, bov? anything else? i not worried bout how much power ill get but i want it real loud without pullin out the cat. any help cheers. also not goin to increase boost.

VF22, FMIC, 3inch exhaust 3" high flow 200 cell cat and an XEDE good for 160-170ish awkw maybe a bit more.

you want reliability...

get a MRT injector rail.

that way it will prevent your piston (ummmm 1) from leaning out.

Rexies are reliable with all vf series turbos, not really worth modifying if you are'nt gonna give it the extra legs from a bigger turbo. Unless you like being stomped by everyone.

so you think that a aftermarket filter wouldnt be beneficial for the turbo? as with a fmic and an exhaust? hmm

a higher flowing exhaust and fmic will generate more boost, therefore driving the turbo harder.

stock cars are generally made reliable. modifications create more powerful cars, at the expense of reliability.
