I have the stock boost gauge and it plumbs into the plenum at the rear on a short bit of hose I think.

I put a new boost gauge in and they read different to each other. The new one reads 2-3 psi lower. It is plumbed in at the front of the plenum but with a long bit of hose.

What gives?

If they are both plumbed into plenum, no t-pieces etc to BOV, fuel reg etc. and are giving different readings, I would say the guages, well more so, one of the guages is reading wrong.

To confirm, swap the vacuum plumbing points over between the two guages (if you have enough length) and see if there is a difference still in the readings.

generally the stock gauges are well known for being pretty much crap.

sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you dont.

Mine, believe it or not, was almost perfect since 1987, i didnt believe it @ first :(

But lots of stocker 33 gauges are all over the place
