i have seen it done to a s13 silvia so im sure it would fit. can some 1 please give me the dimensions of the engine bay.

Dunno, but I'm pretty sure the RB is physically larger than the SR, so if it fits in a Silvia it would probably fit in a skyline. Apparently the 5.7 litre LS1 swap has been done in am R33 skyline before, so V8 skylines are not unheard of. V8 RX-7s too...

What is the weight difference between the 1UZ and RB20 (or RB25 for that matter)? Would you be better off going for an RB25/30DET for perhaps less $$$? It would still deliver low end torque and ultimate would give superior performance. Unless the shock value is what you want :).

Let me know how it goes if you go through with it - the lack of torque below 3000rpm is getting annoying in my RB20 :P . I was considering an RB25 upgrade, or an RB25/30 upgrade, but this is way more interesting :( .

Wack a blower on the 1UZ while you're at it!

theres a v8 r33 on here in QLD I think  but with the nissan v8 vh45de

Any ideas what transmission it is running? I heard the vh45 can be troublesome when it comes to transmission swaps... but I'm hardly an expert! :(
