Anyone?

My turbo is a little poorly. :goddam:

I wouldnt mind knowing if the GTST t28 is similar to the GTiR one...

GTiR T28 turbo.

T-28, 60 trim 60 mm BCI-1 compressor in standard T-3

housing. 79 trim 53.8mm Inco T-250 turbine wheel .86

A/R turbine housing

ThankYou

I'll give you what I know.

The R33 (and R32 for that matter) has a turbo which has a bolt pattern of a T3.

So it will NOT bolt on to a car that had a T28.

The internals are of a similar size to a T28 though.

All I know about the sizes is that the exhaust wheel is 48mm for the R33 and 42mm for the R32.

But ALL skylines GTST from R32 onwards, have a T3 bolt pattern.

Not sure about the R31's and earlier..

The GTR's have twin T28 turbos. the bolt patter is a T28.

However, they are only good for twin turbo set ups.

The T28's on the GTR's do not work that good in a single turbo application.

WRXKILLA...

Just incase you didn't know.. the skyline turbos have ceramic exhaust wheels.. so I doubt that they would be an upgrade for your GTiR even if it did fit.

Nope,

The GTiR turbo will take excess boost pressures.

I know many GTiR owners that have run 18psi and even 20psi on the stock turbo for long long periods of time as daily drivers and never had a problem.

Of course it isnt exactly efficient at those pressures. But hey.

My Mate Ivan ran a 12.3 with stock turbo stock pretty much everything. 20psi.

My car came back from a Particular workshop withthe turbo buggered. Bit suspicious. Considering I had a lot of other things done wrong too.

But I was running 14psi.

nice...

did you go back to the workshop to complain or anything.

yeh the Gtir turbo's don't have ceramic exhaust wheels so no problem with running over 14psi.. but like you said, above that and it starts to get out of it's efficiency range... especially with the top mount interheater that they have.

he he he, yep, gotta love the Interwarmer, I cooked Bacon & Eggs on it once! :D

Yeah, Umongst other things, They Cross Threaded an Intercooler bolt and ross threaded the thread inside the plenum, (where it bolts in), left a gearbox bolt out!, replaced my Nissan Oil Filter will a Coopers!, I now get some clunking noises from drivetrain since the day it came out, and of course my turbo is a littel buggered since it came out.

I think I mentioned in another thread somewhre which garage this was.

In Sydney's East.
