rebuilt std calipers are the way to go. ive got 32 gtr caliper on my 32 gtst, and they stop on a dime. Tyres are my limiting factor, as i can lock em up pretty easy. Even on slicks i could lock em up if i wanted to.

Seriously you dont need brembos to have good brakes. Unless you are racing every week....?

Which leads to the q, why do u want big brakes?

Havent been talking to Roy have we? :)

Unlike some non-believers he has an RB20 under the bonnet, and with all that power from the rev happy race engine...you need HUGE brakes.

That said, R34 Brembos are good things, but not at the prices they command 2nd hand. You can get new AP 4 pot calipers which you would assume are likely to be more rigid, allow the use of a bigger rotor and are cheaper to boot.

If you can find R34 GTR Brembos for $1000 then great, grab them. But if you are paying more then $1500 (normally advertised for $1800+) thn i would be looking at some 330 x 32 mm rotors and AP 4 pot calipers

im wanting to upgrade my brakes on my four door 32 to somethin pretty huge!!! im thinkin bout a r34 gtr brembo brake upgrade. anyone got any tips ideas on anyother option, aftermarket brakes or anythin really .thanks

stock 32 gtr wheels fit over 33/34 gtr brakes. verry good. take alot of abuse before the get red hot.

have to linnish the high points on the caliper to fit them. easy to do with a file or belt sander

thanks for the advise!!

im gonna be honest i know the standard brakes are awesome i got the endless brake pads in and they couldnt stop anybetter..... my cars goin through some major chhanges including some big open mags... so basicaly its more a wank feature i like the look of the big rotors. dont want these aussie boys out doin us

:P Remember bigger brakes may also mean you have to go bigger wheels which mean more $$$$$ .Depends on your budget but Race Brakes Sydney may help ring them on02)9609-1101.
