DoughBoy Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 HKS have always been a distributor for Garrett technology. Before the T51R components had been developed they offered the TA45 turbo. Early 90's turbo, plain bearing with off-the-shelf Garrett (truck) parts. Whoever is trying to sell that medieval implement of doom is having themselves on to call it an "R" or "SPL".
