Power Window Stuck Down!

My G-friends power window is stuck down on her Mazda astina.

I pulled the switch out and hoped that it was the issue but still no success. I need to at least just get the window up even if its stuck up rather than down.

Any ideas?

i had the same prob in my skyline 2 days ago...disconnect the power from the motor and just connect it to a 12v battery the window will go back up again

your power window motor is almost dead....time to replace it

I think it is definatly the motor, its just not even trying to go up.

try if this works.....which is very common on S15.

have the door open and while your holding the window button up slam the door.

i was lucky enuf to just get it up in time before mine died... now i press the lock button for the passenger window so it doesnt go down and get stuck!

Very simple to do.

Remove door trim, unplug the motor harness from the car harness.

Connect a 12V supply voltage and the window should go up or down. (depending on which way you connect the wires).

If this allows the window to go up and down at full speed, you know the motor is fine and you have a wiring or switch fault.

9 times out of 10, its a broken wire/wires in the door jamb, because the doors open and close all the time, the wires do eventually break.
