When I'm fanging my car my gearstick gets pretty warm. Obviously this is because I'm fanging it :D

But I'm wondering, is there any way I can cool it down so that it doesnt increase the chance of anything breaking?

Can you get a transmission oil cooler??

You certainly can get a transmission oil cooler, these are usually reserved for race cars, but they are readily available. I would think that there must be something not quite right if it is getting hot, maybe a blockage somewhere.

If you want a 2nd-hand one let me know and I'll see if I can find one.

See'ya:burnout:

Cheers mate,

it wasn't getting "hot" as such, I just noticed it when I put my hand over the gearstick boot and realized it was a bit warm. Nothing to worry about I just thought then that there might be a way of cooling it down a bit.

Cheers tho :D

lol

i second that, my hand gets melted, after the car has been out in the sun for even 1hr, literally can't touch it, gotta get somethin to cover it with to shift. JiMi i wouldn't worry about it unless its getting hot hot. Warm weather would be contributing to it anyway.

thats why i keep a spare stubby holder in the car. when its not in use for its intended purpose, it sits over my gearknob except when im drivin.
