Fmic Installation

I'm getting a Bar and plate core - 600 x 300 x 76 intercooler installed.My vehicle is near stock standard apart from full 3inch exhaust system(turbo back) and a air filter upgrade.Can I expect a decrease in Power due to a pressure drop over the early part of the RPM range??Will I get better top end performance?Or should I be installing a boost controller to alleviate these possible problems?Any help would be greatly appreciated!

when I installed mine I notice a slight increase in lag, nothing great, now I dont notice it. With a bigger intercooler you can run more boost and in hot weather run cooler intake temps, that was the main reason i got one as I lost upto 40kw in summer. With standard turbo its not recommended to boost above 12psi, other things I noticed was the aircon took longer to work but works fine and the engine temp rose by 2 deg. 82 to 84

IMHO FMIC should always be done with a boost increase (that's the main point) and then you would definitely feel the difference.

Just do it...i see a fmic as more of a support mod then a power mod...keeping the same boost you will come on boost a tad later but you will get more top end...
