blue_leaf
As the topic states which one is more preferable? How do they compare on: 1. Cost (sadly this comes first )? 2. Flow restrictions? Maxx
i reckon Extrude Honing will be better than Porting & polishing simply because they can reach area hand/machine don't. no idea their pricing but i believe won't be cheap Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/101826-portingpolishing-vs-extrude-honing/#findComment-1866585 Share on other sites
Maxx
as there is no futher reply, i PMed the god of SAU: sydneykid we use both techniques, we have found that extruded hone is relly only worth it when you have places you can't reach with porting tool. So we get it done on inlet and exhaust manifolds, all cylinder head work is done with a porting tool and confirmed on the flow bench Edited January 27, 2006 by Maxx Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/101826-portingpolishing-vs-extrude-honing/#findComment-1903982 Share on other sites
