hey ppl, before installing my boost tap again, id like to get it rite this time.....

id just like to know which hose goes to where please,

to my knowledge, the hose marked in green is the wastegate actuator hose...and the pink hose goes to the bov?

so for boost tap installation, the green end goes to one end of the controller, and the pink hose gets blocked off??? or is it the other way around?while the other part of the boost tap goes to the intake pipe (which hasnt been marked, but coming off the i/c piping.

does this sound about right???

cheers

First off forget about the BOV, that is a completly different vacuum hose.

In your picture, the green hose is the return from the solenoid, which is where the air that is bled off is returned to the intake.

The purple hose is the wastegate actuator, the boost tap goes in this hose. Make sure you block off the green hose, so there is no air leak as this will cause running problems.

Done properly it should look exactly like the picture Lazy-Bastard posted.

done it, dnt knw if i should be having problems, but the car is missfiring alot from around 80km plus???, and if i turn up the boost tap, its start missing big time (as if its getting a fuel cut or something), i have the two hoses coming off the solenoid taken off, and retuned the solenoind wiring back to normal, as i used the stock boost mod prior to the boost controller.

I blobked off the other hose using a screw, and its a real tight fit

does this need an ecu reset?

very wierd issue im having....i connected my boost tap as per picture shown by lazy-bastard, and blocked of the hose as i was told. Now boost doesnt seem to go above 5-6psi no matter how much the tap is wound in/out????

I cant figure out what the problem is, i just went for a test run before, and i get bad missfiring while booting it, and thats when its running less than stock boost!, whats happened?

How have ppl on this board blocked afm to turbo pipe?i used a screw, and is it necessary to unhook those hoses fom the factory solenoid?

getting very frustrated, btw the boost tap has been opened a few times now to check the spring and ball, ive got another coming in to see if that could be the issue

....just wondering if the standard wastegate actuator hose needs to be replaced to make it more of a tight fit on the boost tap as that all i can think of, and maybe rechecking all the hoses.

I would start by replacing all the factory vacuum hoses. I think there is a restrictor in one of them from what I have read, so maybe that's what is causing your lack of boost?

I blocked the return line from the turbo duct with a screw, so that should be fine, and you can unplug and remove the factory solenoid altogether.

cheers, i'll do that 2morro, any special type of hosing to use???, i usually just ask fro vaccum hose in lengths....

factory solenoid has been discon (2 nipple with nothing connected to them), though the wiring remains pluggen in.
