As im now starting to collect parts for my new engine, the words of a friend haunt me. Piston engines cost too much to modify, buy a rotor.

I love RBs, but being 6 cylinders they are not the cheapest things to modify.

Now im not this brave a person, but forgetting the MAZDA (=FORD:o ) powered Nissan thing, i cant see the RB26DETT transplant matching a 20B between the struts of an R32 GTSt.

The 20B revs, makes big HP easily, and is cheaper then an RB26, and maybe even lighter. 20Bs also have good torque, and an excellent exhaust note, when they actually run an exhaust (me thinks of Lance Warrens 929)

Being a car lover just as much as a Nissan lover means i would love someone to do such a transplant.

I couldnt bring myself to do it to my R32, but if someone gave me thr right $$$ for my GTSt id run out tommorrow and buy a 240Z or crappy 1.8 NA Sylvia, and go to town.

The stats from the factory:

- 20B has 206kw @ 6500rpm, 400nm @ 3500rpm

vs

R34 RB26DETT has 206kw @ 6800rpm, 392nm @4400rpm.

Hell the R32 RB26DETT has 353nm @4400rpm

...and about $4,500 buys you a 20B vs $6500 for R32 RB26DETT
