Turbo On A Non Turbo Rb20?

hay all, has any one bolted a turbo set up on a non turbo motor? did u lower the compretion? or just bolt it all on? i have been told that wif stock boost the setup will last a while, any help would be great.

oh one more thing, im only doin this becouse i have all the turbo setup at home and it would be alot cheaper to do it this way. cheers every one

Justa a quick aside to this question, would the RB20 turbo set up be ok on a RB25 NA - would this last? would you get away with the RB25DEt computer? I ask merely for information

I cant see a problem with it. My mate bolted a t4 setup on his ef falcon (210000kms) and on 10psi its still going strong with 315hp at the wheels.

RB20DE turbocharged is what i have in my drag car at the moment.

On a street car it should be great, higher compression, more low down response.

With moderate boost and a good cooler, should be fine.

Yes.

But if you and your mates are doing the conversion, you might as well have a crack at it, my buddy made 150rwhp on an auto ca18de S13 that he bolted up a turbo to.

I did that conversion to my old 32 GTS back in '02 and she went like a rocket.
