Handbrake Handle

Does anyone know how to take the handbrake handle off an R33? Mine won't budge.

under the plastic cover (take the ashtray out, remove the 2 screws then removed the plastic section where the gear shifter is. this reveals 2 more screws, remove them. Then open your center console between the seats and you will find two more screws at the bottom, remove them. it should then come off revealing the hand brake assembly) there are 2 bolts that hold the handle down just unbolt em...

sorry, I should have been more specific, I actually meant the leather bit that you hold when pulling up the handbrake.

you still need to take the plastic cover off to get the metal ring that holds the hand brake boot in place...

he means the actual handle u pull on not the boot....got the same prob... cant remove mine to replace it........
