Umm.. Got bored this sarv and ripped my aircon out of the Laurel as it didn't work... Didn't touch the charcoal anister. Cut the belt to the compressor or whatever hangs off the block (will remove compressor later). So yeah took it for a test run to check engine temps (supposed to help when removed).. After about 5 mins of driving noticed a bit of power drop and was sounding sloppy down low.... 5 mins later when I got here back in the garage was idling absolutely shithouse. And sounding worse accross the rev range.. Temps stayed almost the same, just under half. Somethings not right. NEED HELP! pls

Oh yeah, and new fire cracker smell :D

O.k took it for another run today. Idle is still out. Went for a 5 min drive... kept it under 3 grand the whole time. Felt it slowly getting worse over the 5 min period. Got back up the garage and idled shithouse for about a minute (almost to the point of stall) Then reverted back to the bad idle I started with.

Was given some advise on another forum that I may have messed with some wiring..maybe to do with the AFM (not conciously). Or possibly a vacuum line....

Can anyone elaborate pls?

Are you sure you didn't cut the water pump belt?

:) cheers :)

Nah the compressor sits under the water pump dosen't it? Well thats the one I cut... The big thing down the bottom. That wouldn't explain why I have a shitty idle on start up anyhoo.....
