Best Tyre For 8 Inch Rim

Hi all

Whats the best tyre for a 18x8" rim.

A 235/40/18 or 245/40/18?

I know that Falkens acutallly look more narrower than they are because Falkens usually have rounded shoulders.

So am I best going for a 245?

And will it scrub/rub? (on a R34 GTT)

235 would be the preferred tyre size for an 8"rim but if you can fit a 245 on there without issues then the choice is really up to you.

If you are fitting the 8" rim to the front of your car then put the 235 on there.

Hmm perhaps 235 would be best since it is preferred and it will mean I will be able to rotate tyres from front to back vice versa.

I don't know if its the same as I have an r33, but I put 235s on the front and 245s on the rear.

The downside is I cant rotate my tyres

I'd just run 235's allround. I actually run 235/40/18 on my 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears but i'm keen on a bit of streach on mine, besides the rear end loves it!
